  • I have only skim read some of your more recent post, but I swear we are actually the same person!

I am training for my first marathon, LOVE Buffy, am tempted by the Frozen DVD, am also a teacher (and have done no work this holiday save for a short revision session for Yr 11) AND am constantly wandering off around the world on my own.

So, thought I'd give you a gentle push in the right direction! I've done loads of travelling over the past ten years, much of it by myself. It is amazing fun - go where you want, when you want, no compromising! If you want to make friends stay in hostels and people are generally really friendly. No one has EVER made a negative comment about me being by myself. As for Paris, I found it really easy to get around. I don't know the language save for a few token phrases and didn't have any problems. This was a few years ago now, but I doubt it's much different.

    Go for it!

I heard the song from Frozen the other day, and the ending is something like 'The cold never bothered me anyway'...and I burst into tears. In public. THE SHAME! :o

A man asked if I was ok, and because I, you know, wasn't embarrassed enough already, the only thing that would come out of my mouth was 'Yep...PMT...'.

At which point he backed away slowly. :rotfl:

I am feeling seriously miserable. I know it makes no sense to have regrets and all that and I have been trying SO hard to stay positive. I just think the world is a sucky place today.

I just can't do it today. maybe I am just tired. Tomorrow might be different. not holding out much hope!!
