Hello,
Am back from holidays!
It was crap and I am grateful it was only four days! I am tired and I haven't showered in two days. Mainly down to my friend being such a control freak and having to be in charge and have every thing "just so" or perfect, my washing up ability was questioned, I had no say in anything AT ALL and spent roughly 130 pounds on food - not that we ate three meals a day - mostly just dinner and breakfast.
I was right re my friend. I do have a fondness for her but am SICK of being treated like a second class citizen or lectured on the finer things in life and what I should do because I don't value the same things as she does. I simply don't care about food and wine or fancy crap - I am too MSE, schooled in the for heaven's sake it is cheaper in Tesco's! type thing. I love people, I like meeting them, talking to them spending time with them. not in anything fancy and so long as the staff are polite and clean(!) and the food is edible I am happy. Oh and the "staff" aren't second class citizens either.
I just refuse to believe that because I am paying more for something it is always better. Sometimes yes but not every time.
*no mention of this on FB please - It looks like I had a fab time on there!!
Any how I am now facing the summer being fairly skint, currently extremely tired and fed up but full of plans for August - re the purging!!
needs to start tomorrow. But now even tho I am shattered small furries need to be taken care of....Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

Hello my lovely xxx
Laughing at the Facebook V Reality of your holiday. The prawn cocktail looked interesting I have to say.
Thinking of starting up my own diary again............its been a while. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hello Lou! xx Yes, hilarious
Some bits where funny - the prawn cocktail being one of them! I think it is safe to say tho I won't be holidaying with them again - I do love them it is not my idea of a holiday!
I am not happy this morning. I think whilst I was away my sister has been stirring and Mum is being highly encouraging to me to move out. Either that or she is ill/unwell. She is definitely being different.
It is a shame as all she has done recently is worry herself sick about money. She spent loads whilst at my sister's and couldn't really afford her car tax. Had I been here I would have lent her the money but instead she has set up a direct debit. Not sure she can pay that either.
I just cannot see how I am ever going to get a mortgage or a house and renting is ridiculous. I have always paid over the odds for renting from Mum so she could go to Florida. But now my rent (800 pounds a month - previously 700 but put it up ) is less than I would pay living out - so now I think my sister may have pointed this out. Well to be fair I have pointed it out myself - hence the raise recently but it is all awkward. Having just committed to the new job, I can't really move out somewhere cheaper, there isn't anywhere.
I have to eat and take the guinea pigs to the vets. I really didn't want to start my nice new month of holidays like this.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Sorry to read that you are having such turmoil at home, what does your sister expect of you? Maybe you should have it out with her as there seems to be a lot of passive aggressive behaviour going on.
You would think that she would be relieved and grateful that you have decided to stay with Mum for so long to support and look after her, I know I would be!
Big hugs to you my friend xBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
It's odd isn't that your sister didn't step in about the car tax? She only sees the bits she wants to see. Try not to let her get to you.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I am not completely sure Mum told her. In fairness to my sister she has lent Mum the money for one of the credit cards. Thing is she "does" mum' money for her so she would have known. I know the lending of money made me feel uncomfortable tho, and the bf does seem to think he has power over her then? or more accurately can ignore her. It is all a bit odd.
Had a weird experience this morning. An old man had fallen over on the street and needed help so me and another lay stayed and helped him - called an ambulance etc and eventually made him a cup of tea.
I just really liked his house, it was all neat and tidy, lots of pictures, old but organised kitchen. I mean clearly it had mostly been done by someone else! but the stuff "on show" meant something.
Did feel sorry for him tho. big house all alone.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
It's tough Buffy, but you're not helping mum by paying that amount of rent if it's still so hard for her to balance the books. Has she got a large mortgage?0
