Hello
Been a rough week.
Depression hit hard after my sister's comments. Also work has been stressful.
Money is just about ok. I have sorted the rabbits. Decided I need to move away from my family.
I hate writing that.
I just cannot do it anymore.
So I have a 1000 pounds in my ISA and savings in various pots. It would be enough to move out.
I will have to give Mum time to sort the money side but this cannot carry on. The depression the feeling awful. living in a mess. feeling hemmed in and judged by my sister.
I don't know how I am going to move with 3 guinea pigs and two rabbits but hey.
People do it. I can do it.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
I would try and make this a positive Buffy, you are now ready to move out and be happy in your own place. I hope that you find somewhere you love, good luck.0

I think a move would be the best thing that ever happened to you.....I'm sure you could find loving homes for the piggies and rabbits if need be but moving with pets isn't impossible.

Maybe your sis can help sort out the money side since she is so keen on protecting her inheritance. I think it's great that you've made the decision. I don't know, I think it will be an expensive pointless waste of time.
But so is this....so I may as well give it a go.
So jobs to do
1. visit bank re mortgage.
2. e mail solicitor re house etc.
3. Check contract at work
4. Continue the decluttering as I doubt I can leave much here.
5. Investigate places I can buy or rent.
Now I need to get on as am meeting friends for brunch.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi Buffy
This might come in handy... http://www.letswithpets.org.uk/home/welcome
Also, it doesn't have to be one or the other - you could rent for a while to give you some space and freedom and figure out where you want to buy.
Good luck

Buffy I can't believe how your sister is behaving. How would your mum feel if she knew she was stalking her inheritance and plotting what's going to happen in the future when your mum is still alive. It's not on! I lost my mum 15 years ago, I was an only child, she was renting a house and didn't leave much money but stiil people crawled out of the woodwork trying to scrounge money. It made what was a very traumatic time even worse. If your mum has a will (make sure she gets one if she hasn't) the house should be shared equally between you when she dies. I suppose your sister is thinking of what would happen if your mum died while you were still living there and how she would get her share. Ugh I'm annoyed on your behalf.
Take care Buffster xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
