Hi there Buffster. The dogs must see your mum as "top dog" and as she is absent you are the substitute top dog. Can sympathise with the falling over animals thing as my 20 year old cat is forever trying to trip me up. He appears from nowhere at the top of the stairs and gets under my feet. I'm convinced he's trying to kill me.

Trouble with that theory is they are WAY better behaved with me than Mum, she gives in to the begging and talks to them all the time - which they see as attention and so follow, bug and harass. Whereas I am a big meanie pants. one of them does go and lay down but the more dominant one follows me - he too nearly killed me at the top of the stairs! It is getting less. I suppose they are unsettled. Things like eating are a problem - one dog always eats but the other one knows Mum would give them their treat first and so is still after nearly three weeks holding out for me to give him a bloody denta stick, which I am not. he eats every second day at the moment which is the best I can get. however, they have been amazing with the rabbit, cannot fault them, gentle obedient, fantastic.

Overshare but I have the most awful upset tummy. this week with packed lunch has been rough.

Cannot wait for 4 o clock tomorrow!

  • SO,

I have been ill for 10 days - continual upset tummy. Spent way too much on shopping as had to get rid of lots of food. Realised that I had been eating out of date yoghurt for about four days so am guessing that is what did it - don't ask ! I threw the wrong pot away..... I went to work during all this and ended up in tears twice when I got home last week. So glad Mum isn't here to see me! I am totally stressed out. Having two rabbits and two dogs is difficult! plus I am worried about living arrangements for the rabbits.

Plan A isn't going to work and tho there was always a plan b I didn't really want to have to do that. Plus no time and a night mare at work. Everything is scratchy and difficult.

I am really stressed out and couldn't sleep. I phoned in sick this morning. Which is SO bloody complicated. Not worth it although now it is all sorted I feel like I have time to breath.

So yeah. got paid which is good. Other than that don't really know my !!!! from my elbow.

off to shower and make lists etc.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Oh Buffy, please be kind to yourself. I am just about to run away. Bought a weekly bus ticket to bring some things from the other house and promised myself I would 'go' somewhere, even if it was just to sit under the trees. The ticket runs out today and I have been nowhere, struggled to make more than one trip a day to the other house. So I will go to the bus stop and take the first bus I can use my ticket on - an adventure.

OOD yoghurt isn't likely to cause that - more likely a bug or maybe IBS (not sure if you're a sufferer or not) You should really get it checked out though.

What's the issue with the rabbits living arrangements - anything we can help with?

Is there a local dog sitter/walker that you could arrange to take the dogs out during the day when you're at work?

    Hey Buffy,

So sorry to hear you are under the weather. Don't be too tough on yourself, take time to recover you have probably caught a bug.
My daughter had a sickness bug that lasted two weeks back in March. No actually sickness, just feeling lousy.

If the dog walking is an issue, are there any teenagers you know that could walk the dogs every night for a couple of pounds?.
Hope they are not still whining, that would drive me insane :(.

Do tell us the issue with the bunnies, we might have some ideas to help. x

Hope you feel abit brighter today. Thinking of you xxx
