Jealous of everyone who has seen their babies so far....our private early scan is on Sunday and I can't wait! Starting to feel really impatient
Has anyone else been having pregnancy/baby related dreams yet? Last night I had an incredibly vivid dream that I had a little girl. She must have been about 2 or 3 and was in my bed with me chatting away. It was such a realistic and vivid dream and I woke up with this incredibly overwhelming realisation that I am (hopefully...) going to be a mother. I have never dreamt about having a child or being a mother before being pregnant. Now of course a silly part of me thinks it means I am having a girl, but I am trying not to take too much notice of that as I know logically I can't possibly know!
Thought sickness was better this morning after having a dry cracker every time I woke up in the night and as soon as I woke up for the morning...but after having my breakfast it is back with a vengeance, once again I can't keep water down and feel so horribly nauseous I can barely move. Fun fun fun!
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Nearly the weekend...0 -
Hi Ladies, can I join you all? Have been on the trying to conceive thread for a few months, being trying for number 2 since Oct and got a bfp on Sunday. EDD is the 24th October but I imagine I will have to have a c-section again after my last rather tricky labour. I am really short and baby was pretty big, didn't work out well!
Good luck to everyone and I hope we all have happy healthy pregnancies. Hugs to those having a difficult time x x0 -
Congrats and Welcome boat girl

My MIL correctly dreamt what she was having with all three of her children and has now dreamt that we will have a boy.... We will see...
Since I have been taking the iron supplements I am very constipated! Never have been in my life. I am getting quite bad cramps every couple of days and it kept me awake last night. I am going almost everyday but obviously not passing enough. TMI alert It is like black tar! Though that is suppose to be a sign they are working.
What is everyone's feeling on finding out the sex? After my 12 week scan I am booking a gender scan for 16/17 weeks. I am sooooo impatient!!0 -
Eeek, I had my scan today and measured as 13+1, which makes my due date 27th August.
It's all starting to be quite real now, very exciting.
Looks like it's time for me to move over to the next thread.
good luck to everyone and hopefully see you all over there soon x0 -

Evening Ladies!
Had my booking in appointment today. Midwife said I will need to see the consultant due to the LLETZ procedure and also some medical issues within the family history. She doesn't seem to think any of it is a big deal and thinks he will see me then just discharge me back to the MW.
I've got to ring up and book my own 12 weeks scan next week so really looking forward to getting a date. No more bleeding since my scan yesterday either so fingers crossed it stays away.
Well impressed with the Bounty pack, went and got the 2nd one this afternoon and the Emma's Diary pack too. I'm finally letting myself start to get excited!
Hugs to anyone who needs them. xx0 -
Well hello everyone, can in join you all on here?! Found out last Tuesday that I'm expecting and going by calculations at the moment that brings me to 17 October! Nothing confirmed as yet though. Went to the doc and he was quite happy with my own test and the way that I was feeling to say yip that's fine! Got my first appt with midwife next Thursday....
We weren't wanting any kids and I was the last person on earth to expect to ever have to take a test, infact, less than 2 weeks before I did the test we had been to the doc about a change in contraception, little did we know at that time......!!! We've both now got our heads around it and accepted that all being well I'm going to be a mummy for the first time!
Anyway, we may only be 6 weeks but I've had to tell them at work already because of the line of work I do (involves top-filling tankers) and I've not been good with heights recently, only so many excuses I can make up when there's only 2 of us that can do the job! All very positive there but looks like I'm going to have a bit of fighting to do as my manager thinks that I may have to finish by the end of August instead of the end of September like I want to. Anyway, not going to worry about that one quite yet until the risk assessments have been done and I've spoken to HR. Taking each day as it comes. No longer ...tobe! Hello everyone,
mdhughes, you have every right to freak out, I did a week ago over a teeny, tiny bit of spotting and that was nothing like my MC.
We had our scan today. It was a bit surreal. The lady was being trained how to use the ultrasound machine so there was a lot of zooming in and out. But we did get to see our pea and everything is as it should be. We're still on track at 7wk 1 day. It was reassuring to hear the heartbeat if only for a few seconds. We got 3 pictures.
T2D and Laila, I'm happy your scans went well yesterday.
I currently have my face over a bowl of streaming hot eucalyptus oil and water to try and clear my sinuses. I started with bad nausea yesterday morning and vomited last night. I don't know if it was caused by being pregnant or my cold.
I usually wear fitted tops so need to get some baggier ones. I saw this one in DP a couple of weeks ago that could hide a little bump: http://www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/clothing-203535/tops-t-shirts-1974337/pink-ponte-petal-sleeve-top-2581082?refinements=Colour%7b1%7d~%5bpink%5d&bi=1&ps=200#BVRRWidgetID But at 5ft9 tops tend to be a bit short and may not hide hair-band held together trousers. Suggestions on a postcard please.

oooh congrats on your scan peonie, so glad you got to see the heartbeat x
Hugs for feeling poorly, its probably a bit of both thats causing it. my morning sickness almost went away but then came back really bad when I had a cold a few weeks ago, I kind of assumed it was just all the phlegm that brought it back (yuck sorry) but now the cold has gone so has the sickness again so hopefully it will be the same for you. Have you tried a neti (sp?) pot? Its not pleasant but I found it really relieved my sinuses and helped to clear things out?
Hugs to all x0 -
Hello all and thanks for the positive thoughts. Sadly I'm no better and bleeding a little more now. However, no pain and so docs and EPU won't see me apart from my pre-booked scan on Monday and are telling me to just stay at home and let nature take its course. So have taken tomorrow off work and hubby and I are just going to hole up for the weekend and wait it out!
Peonie-have you thought about using a pregnancy band? I don't know how small they come but when worn, just look like a vest top under your top-might save you buying stuff in the early stages? My friend swore by hers, and didn't buy any maternity trousers until she was in the third trimester.
Love to all xxRemember to always be yourself-unless you suck. Joss Whedon0
