So sorry to hear that Faith - keeping my fingers crossed for you. Do you have an early pregnancy unit near you? I read on another forum that they can scan as early as 6 weeks. 10 days seems like a really long time to wait

Yep I went to our local EPU on Sunday night but 10 days was literially the earliest scan they had avaliable their book was completely full



I was scanned at 6 weeks (again pains but that time no bleeding) and baby was in the right postion and all was ok then and I've still not had any further bleeds and the pain has eased off



I hoping it's just because I was under so much stress last week my (now ex) housemate (known him 15 years) decided to steal £250 from one of my accounts, spend £80 on my credit card and forge my signature to try and make me a guarator on a 2.5K loan with amigo to assist with his gambling and cocaine addictions (which we knew nothing about). I had to pack his craphole of a room up Saturday so I'm hoping it's just my bodies way of telling me to calm down

Wow. No wonder you’re stressed.
Try and take it as easy as you can (easier said than done I know)

Ahh I see, still crazy that 10 days with the earliest they had available though. At least the bleeding has stopped now and your scan at 6 weeks was OK. It definitely sounds like you have had a horribly stressful time though - try and take it easy.

I've just managed to speak to the midwife and my booking in appointment is on the 13th December. Still feels like ages away though! She also confirmed my 12 week scan is the 31st when I should be exactly 12 weeks. I'm excited but slightly annoyed that it is that exact date as we were meant to be going away for New Year with some friends, - will have to jiggle our plans. Think we will just go up after the scan - at least we can share news properly then

Yeah I know it's a pain as I'm very impatient



I had my booking in last Monday and I think I'm going to like the midwife team so I hope you have the same experience.


Our first proper scan (if that makes sense) was meant to be the 17th Dec and we had set out plans to tell family Christmas Eve as we are doing the round robin of present dropping off I'm hoping that'll still be the case


That'll be nice though to do it New Years Eve should do just as the chimes strike if you're up that late nice way to bring in a New Year

I hope your ok faith. I’ve read sometimes there can still be a slight bleed when time of the month is due each month but either way hopefully all is ok. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you

I finally had my booking in appointment yesterday which went well and I am low risk for everything. We also had our private scan and Baby was very active bouncing around the screen. They dated me at 11 weeks which is about 5 days further along than I thought so time really is flying now. I am hoping my official scan date will come through soon but for now I am feeling so relieved and my sickness is finally easing off too. Going to tell my boss today as I’m off work for 2 weeks annual leave I’d rather he knew now. Nervous!

I’ve got my booking in appointment tomorrow. I’m only 7 weeks so it seems very early compared to most of you.

Went really well thanks he was more excited than me I think! I was worried as I only started the job 8 weeks ago but he was fine with it. Feel relieved now.

Also came home to my scan date.. 1 week today! So I should be 12+1. So all good news for me .
