Has anyone experienced spotting of any kind??? I had one instance at about 5 weeks just after we found out and then until last Thursday nothing. Thursday was browny coloured when I wiped, I spoke to my midwife team and they were very reassuring and said it didn't sound like anything to worry about and spotting it perfectly normal.
Well Friday night at the airport ready to fly off for our honeymoon I went to the loo and noticed red blood when I wiped. I went into panic mode, didn't know what to do. Called my hospital antenatal dept and they said there was nothing they could really do other than offer me a viability scan when we got back provided it stopped. It stopped, I was up and down on the plane checking, but it's been on and off since then and alternating between sometimes brown and occasionally red but never enough to touch a pad/liner, literally only when I wipe!
I feel like I'm ruining the honeymoon with worry atm, my husband is being amazing tbh running around after me getting me drinks asking how I am etc, he's in the pool atm and I'm relaxing on a lounger watching him. When we get home sat we have our scan the following Tuesday, part of me is still wondering if to just go to a+e and be referred through for the viability scan or whether we should just wait until the Tuesday. Sorry for the downer post, I could just use some reassurance or something right now x

A friend of mine went to a n e and had to wait for the scan a few days later. I'd probably wait til the Tuesday tbh. And don't worry (easier said than done mind)

I'm going to join this thread. Really wasn't expecting to tbh as its really soon. I'll be roughly 5 weeks on Saturday. Going to go to the docs in a few weeks as it sounds like they do the scans around week 12 if I've read right. Got cramps in my stomach, a little light headed but really can't believe it as we only agreed to start trying last month (as its a friend who also wanted a kid).

I am really nervous this next 8 weeks though. Read today 1 in 4 end up in miscarriage so it makes me nervous and it's the peak time for its development.

Anyway roll on late April :)

Hi Mrsburrows, I hope you are ok and are enjoying your honeymoon the best you can. Where have you gone? I am sure everything is fine, I think you certainly did the right thing ringing the midwife.

    Welcome dawyldthing!

I am 11 weeks today, and am feeling a lot less tired than previous weeks! We have our dating scan booked for 4 September (time is going so slowly!).

I hope everyone has nice plans for the BH weekend. :)

  • Hi lola25 we went to corfu, landed back this morning after a near 2 hour flight delay!! I'm currently enjoying a lovely dial in my bath....ive missed it after a week of showers!!
The bleeding is still happening, still hit n miss although today seems to be more red than brown and a little bit heavier than it has been but still barely touching a pad/liner. So we went straight to a&e and they were lovely but I got the "it's very common" & "it's good that you're not in pain"...no but I'm distressed after a week of bleeding and just wanted someone to scan me and make sure my baby was ok! My dating scan is on Tuesday so they told me to stick with that unless I suddenly bleed more or am in a lot of pain and to just go home and rest....i rested all last week on holiday! We came away and I was soooo close to going to a place in derby that offers reassurance scans for £60, but decided not to in the end as we were so tired from being up since Friday morning.
I never experienced bleeding with my other 2 pregnancies so this to me is a whole other ball game and I'm constantly worried despite them telling me not to be. I've taken knicker checking to a whole new level lol

Corfu is lovely - shame about the delays coming back!

I'm sorry that a&e didn't give you the scan you were hoping for - Tuesday will be here before you know it. I have my scan the following Tuesday.

Will be thinking of you xx
