SarahJ Look forward to seeing you on the other board soon. I had to go for a walk to get baby to flip over so they could do all the measurements!0

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow and I'm really nervous! My youngest is 10 soon so it's been 11 years since I've done any of this. My age (38 in oct) worries me because of the increased risks.
On a happier note, we booked our honeymoon yesterday! My husband is self employed, I already have 2 kids and trying to work everything around them and my pre booked holidays from work was proving to be a nightmare given hubby was adamant he wanted to go in august!
We are going to corfu for a week all Inc on 17th Aug, the kids are away with their dad, come home and are going to bristol with my brother and sister for a few days so they will be too busy to miss us lol. I'm just in panic mode, 16 days to go I have no summer clothes that fit, and am terrified of flying lol, I haven't flown in 9 years and we are flying at night this time!!! It will all be worth it for a week away with him though after the stress of the wedding and then finding out we are pregnant so quickly lol.0 -
I had my dating scan Monday. Happy to say all went well and I was dated at 12+1. Due date 10.2.19.
Wishing you all on this thread a happy and healthy 12 weeks and hope to see you on the other thread soon!0 -
Does anyone else feel hungry all the time??? I feel like I never stop eating atm!! The other morning I had a huge bowl of porridge before work and I was starving before lunch! Im already unhappy with my size (14) and I feel like I'm going to pile the pounds on if I keep feeling this hungry all the time.
Also does anyone else suffer with really painful boobs....like omg just walking down the stairs and a slight bounce is utter agony. My hubby was in awe last night cos they have grown (they weren't small to begin with!) and are so full and firm already! But they hurt so much all the damn time! Taking my bra off at night is agony sometimes0 -
My boobs hurt so much, not so much now but I used to have to hold them to walk down stairs.
Theyre not big normally so I love pregnancy boobs. Hubby was so surprised how heavy they are and keeps telling me theyre heavy.
Yes I am well aware.
I slept in a sports bra a few times.
I am hungrier in the morning and sometimes end up having two breakfasts.0 -
Hi All
After much deliberation, we decided to go for an early scan on Saturday (I was 8 weeks). I am quite an anxious person, so felt it was worthwhile for the reassurance and confirmation everything was ok. They were able to identify a healthy heartbeat, which was definitely a good sign.
I know it doesn't give total reassurance, but I do feel a lot more relaxed now.
MrsBurrows, yes I am with you on always feeling hungry! Its worse in the morning! I too have very sensitive boobs, but M&S bra's are very good and supportive.
I hope everybody else is doing ok, and not struggling too much in this weather. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You are on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the woman who will decide where to go2019 Bride:heart2: 09.11.2019 :blushing:0 -
Glad your scan went well Lola25, it's definitely reassuring to hear the heartbeat and I believe the miscarriage rates at this point for you are greatly reduced.
I'm another with ridiculously sore boobs. I bought a maternity sleep bra in the end, but I also need to hold them when I go over speed bumps! So painful!0 -
Thank you HopHop. It was too early to hear the heartbeat, but we saw it on the screen. We have our booking in appointment with the midwife on Monday.
I hope everyone is ok and enjoying the cooler weather! xYou have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. I am also hungry all the time! I have ended up having three breakfasts some days! I can totally see how people can put on extra weight whilst pregnant.
I also got sore boobs (esp when going down stairs) but it seems to have gotten better since I got a non-under wired maternity bra. Already gone up two bra sizes, hoping my boobs hang fire with growing for a bit now so I can get some wear out of it!0 -
Has anyone experienced spotting of any kind??? I had one instance at about 5 weeks just after we found out and then until last Thursday nothing. Thursday was browny coloured when I wiped, I spoke to my midwife team and they were very reassuring and said it didn't sound like anything to worry about and spotting it perfectly normal.
Well Friday night at the airport ready to fly off for our honeymoon I went to the loo and noticed red blood when I wiped. I went into panic mode, didn't know what to do. Called my hospital antenatal dept and they said there was nothing they could really do other than offer me a viability scan when we got back provided it stopped. It stopped, I was up and down on the plane checking, but it's been on and off since then and alternating between sometimes brown and occasionally red but never enough to touch a pad/liner, literally only when I wipe!
I feel like I'm ruining the honeymoon with worry atm, my husband is being amazing tbh running around after me getting me drinks asking how I am etc, he's in the pool atm and I'm relaxing on a lounger watching him. When we get home sat we have our scan the following Tuesday, part of me is still wondering if to just go to a+e and be referred through for the viability scan or whether we should just wait until the Tuesday. Sorry for the downer post, I could just use some reassurance or something right now x0
