My first was a First Response which was pretty clear but then I did an amazon cheapie and it only had the faintest line which panicked me and the following day was just as faint. I'm now 18+6 so they obviously were right, I think they just aren't very sensitive (I want to see they are 25/ml and the most sensitive are 10/ml I think - like Lavender says, check the TTC post :) x

  • Hello all,

I'm joining you if that's alright. I was here on the 12 week thread a year and a half ago.

We decided to start trying for our second baby the cycle after our DS's first birthday. We caught straight away. Tested early this morning and got our BFP.

In shock as we'd ruled out this month, we thought we'd missed it completely as we ended up not BD'ing on the main days. We also never expected it to happen so soon. We started early assuming it could take several months like last time.

We're really happy. But OH is also feeling scared.

Back in 2015 we started trying, conceived straight away, but at the 12 week scan found the baby had a fatal neural tube defect - anencephaly. So we had a termination.

From then OH had a higher does of Folic acid and after 6 months of TTC we conceived our DS who is healthy and fantastic.

But especially early on - we obviously had huge fears leading up to the ultrasound scans. OH especially. She's already worrying about it.

I think it's impossible not to if you've had something like that in the past.

    We're still so excited though.
Hope I find you all well!

  • I'm going to call you FastFreddieFrugal! ;)

I don't think there's a list, it got a little quiet here and I didn't want to witter on to myself. I don't really feel pregnant or like I might be having a baby, more like I'm just ill or have something wrong with me! I've waited for this for so long, been heartbroken when I realised that something wasn't right, had surgery to get this far - and it's an anti-climax to find that this bit really isn't pleasant at all, it's just feeling ill and a different kind of anxiety! Can't wait to come out the other side of this (in time for Christmas at least).

If anyone wants to do a list my EDD is currently 17/06/2018. I get a 2 part booking in appointment, first one done, second one is next Thursday, 9/11. I was all enthusiastic about it but I'm just so tired of feeling sick it feels like another chore at the moment. My house has never been so messy! :rotfl:

Ooooh I love lists, this is exciting!

Can I be added to the thread graduates please Freddie? I still lurk here as I don't feel like it's real yet to be honest. I'm 19+1 now so hopefully it will start to sink in soon.... :o

    My EDD is 29/03/2018

    I've added you kirstypoos

I know what you mean LavendarBee - the first 12 weeks are hard. It's the waiting to see your baby properly and have confirmation that's it's really happening and everything's ok.

Especially difficult if you're also feeling unwell.

  • If anyone else wants to be on the list I can add you on OR you can just add yourself on by quoting my post above and putting your info on in the right place.

Don't feel obliged to, it's just nice to know where everyone is - helps with remembering to think of people when it comes to scans etc. :)

Hope you're all feeling well today

Hi all, been away for a week so haven't been online - went to disneyland in france, little one (he's two) loved it which made it all worth it. However I'm still throwing up here, there and everywhere, so it was 'lets run to the peterpan ride' says dad, I start being sick in a bag and what does he say 'no dont stop, keep running or the queue will be too long'.....
Anyway had my 12wk scan just before we went and all seems ok, so I think I will tentatively move over to the next thread.
Good luck to everyone :) x
  • I've added some recent thread graduates to the list today. Hope you're all well.

It's starting to sink in a bit more now. Feeling excited but still quite surprised. 6 weeks tomorrow.

We filled in the online direct referral form for our maternity services. Should get the notes through by 8 weeks. I said should because last time they didn't arrive and we had to chase it up.

Didn't get our booking appointment til gone 11 weeks!
