We got the booking appointment letter and notes through today. That was quick!
OH wants to see if she can get a later time in the day if possible so will ring about that when she gets chance.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Got my scan appointment today, I will be 13+1. Bit nervous as I am worried my dates may come forward and I've heard that after 14 weeks a nuchal test can't be done? I ovulate on CD5 and I had my implantation bleed 5 days before AF was due, I dont know if that can impact my dates or not. I had a strong heartbeat at 6 weeks, though I know that isn't unusual. Booking appointment on Thursday so think I will be a stupid first timer and ask so the midwife can tell me I'm being stupid0

Hi LavendarBee. They do work out the dates based on the assumption that you have a 28 day cycle. Ovulating on day 14. So as you say if you have significantly shorter or longer cycles, ovulating at different times then the actual gestational age may well be different.
That said its all guess work anyway.
Our last pregnancy we know for a fact that we conceived on CD 20. But despite that our dating scan matched the due date based on the LMP exactly.
So the fact you ovulated quite early may not actually alter their dating by very much at all.
Even if it did and it meant that they couldn't do the NT scan, there are other tests they can do later on. I wouldn't stress about itMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Had my booking appointment today, she took all my dates (ovulation, what I think was conception, implantation and periods) and she advised me to ask to be brought forward by a week. Called and got it 5 days earlier which I'm happier about. Not worth risking if it can be avoided. If the nuchal test came back as potential we're not sure we want the needle thing anyway, I certainly don't want to have to decide if we skip straight to that if i get brought forward a few days! I believe the deed doing that did the job happened on cd5 going by my ovulation sticks. Could explain why we needed a year and an op to get here I guess.

Good news about the scan. They're usually good about stuff like that, at least in our experience.
We were scared about having a late scan. Our booking appointment wasn't till past 11 weeks due to our referral going missing.
After what had happened before we were desperate to have the scan as soon as possible to check everything was OK this time.
Thankfully our midwife had already called ahead before we arrived for the booking appointment to get us a scan at 12 weeks. It meant a battle with the admin people on the phone and she didn't want to have to have that while we were in the room.
There's some great people working in our NHS!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I've always said I have the best gp in the world
he took my endo symptoms seriously and now I'm fixed (albeit temporarily) and pregnant
I also saw him when it looked ectopic and he got me in asap. The sonographers were really nice when I had the early scan too. I guess they see a lot of sad cases, a potential sad case turning out to be a stupid cyst must be light relief for them. When i spend ages dealing with negative things at work there's a definite relief when I get a happy story and a happy person!
A bit of understanding goes a long way doesn't it! Even before i explained my dates issue my midwife was shocked that my appointment was at 13+1.
Current odd symptom that's crept up on me but really noticeable today - I am constantly incredibly thirsty! Ive just had 2 litres of water and a decaf tea and feel like I've been gasping all day.0 -

Happy graduation lauradora!
Hope everyone is well. OH having flu jab next Thursday and then the Thursday after that is the booking appointment.
I won't be able to go, it's the first time I've not been there for an antenatal appointment. They've always landed on one of my days off. But I want to save any time off work for the scans.
She's putting off telling work until as late as possible. Her boss isn't particularly good at keeping things secret and everyone will guess what it is anyway. It feels like too early to be announcing things. Especially as we haven't told family yet.
Unfortunately it isn't possible to have a later appointmentMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hope everyone is doing well, we had a private scan this weekend at almost 9 weeks just for reassurance before telling our parents, seeing that little heartbeat was amazing
We are due 19.06.18 if I could be added to the list
Hope everyone is doing well0
