Thanks everyone for the kind messages, I have been taking it easy, with OH at my side and family on the phone. It's devastating just now but hopefully I'll be a regular here again before too long.
More of the good stuff: I've got superdrug own brand folic acid+ vit D, they are about half a centimetre across. Boots own brand were the same. My gp said they were the only supplement I needed, so didn't even try any multivitamins.0 -
The original ones I bought were boots combined ones with ginger and other stuff, but they would get stuck in my throat and chewing them down was just as bad as there's a horrible taste. Now I'm just on a pregnacare liquid, 2 spoonfuls per day but there's something in the taste that makes me feel really sick -even chasing it with a drink I can still taste it, I was hoping there would be some sugar coated ones (like ibuprofen) so easier to swallow and not get stuck or chewable ones. Sorry it's minor but it's literally the worst part of the day taking it and getting worse!!0

I've only had own brand folic acid and then Vit D on top as Midwife insisted although it does seem like the thoughts on taking that might be changing again.
Both are about 3-4mm across.
I refused to buy anything branded, especially with different varieties for different stages when I knew I got most of what I needed from my diet and all that was recommended were those two. And the cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

I took own brand folic acid - 90p for 3 months supply! But I've struggled to find any vitamin D on it's own - assume you can get it somewhere?! Midwife has recommended it...0 -
I got vit D from wilkinson. And folic acid. I think they have the size of the tablets on the bottles but they are very small.0

My Vit D was just in the local pharmacy. The assistant did ask why i needed it. Magic word: midwife = knowing nod
No wilkos anywhere near sadly0 -
Does anyone know which one has the awful smell? Is it the folic acid or the vit D? Tonight I've been really sick after taking it, I'm gonna try and buy them seperately and hopefully smaller/not as bad tasting as the liquid. After being so sick and dreading it every day I hate to say it I'm at the stage where I wonder if it's worth taking when it makes me feel so rough.0

I suffered so badly with sickness I ended up not taking them. I wouldn't stress too much about it.0 -
Thanks vanilla , I would feel awful if anything were to happen but even looking at the bottle sets me off!0

Just posting in here as it's been a few weeks now and I'm finally starting to feel human again. I'm 11+5 according to the app, but waiting for my dating scan (which is the 24th! So excited!) for a definite. Approx due date is 2nd August so we're working around that until we hear any different.
Morning sickness has been severe! Thought it had calmed down over the past few days but this morning it came back with a vengeance and got me sent home from work as I just couldn't stop heaving and vomiting. Also that pregnancy glow is just pure crap! I look awful.0
