Well we told my parents last night and they were absolutely delighted.

My mum was straight on the phone to spread the good news! :rotfl:

I'm so relieved that everyone knows now!

I got my booking appointment through today. They wanted to see me when I'm 8 weeks although that will be Christmas Day so instead they gave me 10th of Jan. I'll be 10 weeks by then but that's ok, less time to the scan!!

It's my Xmas do tonight and I haven't gone. I said my little boy wasn't well

Peppa I didn't have my booking in until 10weeks, it's been nice to having too long a countdown to the scan!

Hope scans go well Elles and firebird. I didn't sleep the night before mine

Ladies don't be disappointed if you have your scan until a bit later- I'm my area they don't seem to consider booking it until until week 13. I was 13+5 when I had mine (they thought I'd be 13+2). Was the longest wait ever and given the size of my bump couldn't come a day too soon!

Good luck today Elles, Newthrift and Firebird, hope all goes well.

And remember: You don't need to drink THAT much. A cuppa and a glass of squash about an hour and a half before the scan and a bottle of water to sip while waiting was enough for me x
