Sweatbabu I didn't go to the Doctors at all, they just gave me the number of the midwife to book in which I had last week (at 8+5).Try to take it easy.
Yea, its been a long time since I needed their services! But they booked me in, I will ask the midwife when we go to check if that's right.0 -
Hi
Penguin - really hope it's nothing serious and all ends up well, will be thinking of you. As it's just a small brown amount fingers crossed it's nothing too serious but it doesn't stop you worrying all the same xx
Snowscreamer - sounds like we are about the same, I'm now 5+3. Seems super early but I've noticed so many changes already. My boobs are ENORMOUS (sorry everyone TMI but I was pretty generously endowed before this, I'm actually worried I'll need to hire people to carry them at this rate :rotfl:) so I'm off out to buy some bras now. Slightly worried I've got an infection as well, again more TMI but a bit of a weird odour (despite the obsessive washing) and more discharge than usual. Dreading going to the GP to explain it but suppose I'd better get used to displaying that region to all and sundry :rotfl:
Got my scan through for 8th December, but it does say I must have seen the midwife and have a paper maternity pack - no joy on the appointment time yet, does anyone know roughly how many weeks you are when you see them?
I'm enjoying the double whammy of coming off medication that's potentially harmful in pregnancy, giving me the wonderful nausea, GI disturbances and headaches, as well as the pregnancy. Hard to tell which symptoms belong to meds withdrawal and which are early pregnancy. They did tell me I could go back on at a lower dose but I don't want to risk anything, I would kick myself if there was any issues as a result. I can suffer feeling unpleasant for 6 weeks or o
Pretty much everyone at my work knows now cos I almost fainted on Friday, they tried to call me an ambulance/send me home and when I refused they got annoyed, so I basically ended up saying I can't go home every day for the next 8.5 months! They were lovely and one of my colleagues has brought in a massive stockpile of ginger biscuits for me, which apparently were all she lived on in her first twelve weeks of each pregnancy.Baby due 21/06/20170 -

It's kind of reassuring to know that these things happen at different times depending on where you are and who you speak to! I just had my first appointment with the midwife at 7+1 and was a bit surprised at being asked about what kind of birth, which hospital and what scan/screening I wanted to book. (I don't know, I kind of wanted them to confirm there was definitely something in there first! )
Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you tomorrow Penguingirl.
Hope everyone is well this weekend

Thanks everyone. The support on here really does help. Have had a pretty much wobble-free weekend, but just got home from OH's brother's and it suddenly feels nearly Monday morning. Had been a bit anxious going there to see nephew and SIL is pregnant again, but I just didn't link the things in my head. I've had a few twinges in my stomach, and it's hard not to worry about them, but then at the same time I've had lots of stomach pain throughout, and early on I had horrendous cramps. Now it feels more like an odd stitch.
Nausea and tiredness are still there, but definitely think I'm managing them better and my boobs have definitely grown! They've never been very big before, but at the mo they def have more vavavoom.0 -
Penguin, I'm glad to hear that you've had a wobble free weekend, I hope your scan goes perfectly today and it puts your mind at ease.
Pidge, I'm with you on that. Spent my weekend bra shopping amongst other things. Just need to get some sports bras sorted now.
Welcome Lifestart.0 -
Penguingirl I hope your scan goes well today xxChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Feeling very relieved to say scan went well! Heartbeat looks good and it was wriggling everywhere. My dates have only changed by 1 day so I'm 10 weeks tomorrow. No obvious cause of the bleeding. Had a wobble when we got to the unit and doctor had written it in for tomorrow not today so they tried to turn us away at which point I burst into tears. They then managed to squeeze us in and were lovely.
Going to tell the parents at the weekend0
