Oh Penguin, sorry to hear about the bleeding. I have my Fx it's nothing to worry about, and hope once your scan comes around on Monday you are given the reassurance you need.
Firebird I had a brief appointment with my MW a few weeks ago, but my booking appointment has me at 9+1 next weeks, so I wouldn't worry about that.
Sweet hopefully the sickness/nausea passes quite quickly, I only find the nausea an issue. I've not really had much sickness, touch wood.
Snow, I'm with you, its the nausea that's plaguing me. I do find eating little and often helps, but sometimes I am just starving, so I will have something quite plain usually a wrap with chicken and salad and that seems to help. So far no problems with eating that.0 -
Argh, just phoned the surgery to arrange the booking in appt - they are completely booked up. Told me to phone the midwives directly, who said they couldn't give me one of their appointments unless I was about to hit 12 weeks without having seen a midwife, and that I should phone the surgery back again and see if they can fit me in before 12 weeks. Took them 10 minutes to answer the phone last time, so going to do that later. I thought there was a test that had to be done before 10 weeks? Am I going mad? They seem to be ignoring NHS England's guidance...0

Thanks for the support ladies. Keep your Fx over the weekend. I'm doing ok, just plodding along.0

Firebird I saw my dr last week, who did the referral
to the midwife team at my choice of local hospital. I only just got that referral appointment yesterday and my first booking appointment is at 10 and half weeks, also got my scan date at same time.
I don't think there's any tests that need to be done by 10 weeks?0 -
No tests need to be done before 10 weeks don't worry :-) only cut off is 14 weeks for combined screening xxOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

Thanks ladies
Just got through to the surgery again, and they've managed to squeeze me in on 1st December, at which point I will be 11+6 - cutting it a bit fine for 12 weeks!! I guess that means our scan is likely to be more like 14 weeks, as they won't make the appointment for that until after the booking in?
Sorry Penguin, completely missed your posts there - fx it's just normal spotting and nothing serious x
Snow - we're going to tell my folks this weekend as we're seeing them. I think I'd prefer them to know, as I'll need their support whatever happens.0 -
Firebird I would think they'll squeeze you in to make sure you can get the screening. Push your midwife on it whilst youre there xxOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

Penguin, sweetheart, ill be thinking about you :grouphug:firebird082 wrote: »Already? I haven't even managed to phone the doctor to make an appointment yet! Too busy at work, and my office seems to be full of people until 6pm when the surgery closes! Might see if we can drop by on the way home tonight and do it. Need to alert them to my change of name as well...
I will be 7+4 when I see the midwife next week.
In my last pregnancy, in a different area and very long time ago, I had to see the Dr with a sample to confirm the pregnancy before the midwife's would see me. I gather that it's very different in most areas now though?0 -
Also, I'm not going to be able to tell my parents until about 14 weeks as we want to do it together and that's the next time we'll see them
I had to tell them about my first pregnancy alone, and there is no way I'm doing that again.
We are telling his family at the end of Nove, so 12 weeks as we will all be together - it was originally supposed to be three weeks later, but not everyone could make it.
I love the fact that we have something very special, just between us two (and the receptionists and dr...), but on the other hand I am dying to be able to tell people0 -
Thanks ladies. Got the builders back in today, so in a weird way the normality of it all is helping distract me. Feeling a bit more positive as not had any pain or anymore bleeding, plus still feel nauseous etc but we'll see on Monday.
Sweatbabu I didn't go to the Doctors at all, they just gave me the number of the midwife to book in which I had last week (at 8+5).0
