Oh keekee you are exactly like me! I had a chemical just before this one, and it took us 14 months too, and haven't been able to relax at all. We had a private scan at 8 weeks for the same reason :-)

Keep your chin up - I've now reached 12+3 and baby is looking great. Just waiting on screening results to be able to shout about it :-)

Thanks Cats - I have to confess that I've been following your posts closely as they have really given me hope! On the one hand, I just want to keep really positive, but on the other hand, I am scared I'm setting myself up to fall. I guess I just need to find the middle ground, and each day that goes by helps!
I had a look at the NIPT scan too - how long do the screening results take?

Results take up to 2 weeks but they said it's normally more like 7 working days. I had mine Tues eve and hoping to have results by end of next week :-)

  • Congrats on your dating scan Cats, I must have missed when you said it was going to be! You must be glad to finally have an EDD!

    Hi Keekee

I've not been on here much the last week or so. I've been suffering terribly with nausea, struggling through a working day and pretty much going to bed when I get home. Slept most of the weekend away!

I don't have much of an appetite at all and have now lost 7lbs. I am finding that grazing is helping as every couple of hours if I don't eat I feel awful! I seem to be fine first thing in the morning but feel worse as the day goes on, resulting in sickness just a couple of times.

Off on holiday on Saturday for a week and worried how I'm going to cope with the travelling. Have purchased some Sea Bands to see if they help at all.

Sorry you're suffering so much :-( I feel awful for moaning about my lack of symptoms. Hope you're managing to get something down at least, look after yourself xx

  • Thanks Cats,

I'm managing small amounts at a time, but nothing healthy! :rotfl: Cream crackers, crisps, toast and junk food (pizza and Mcdonalds on a good day!)

I love my food as well, missing going out for dinner etc xx

Fingers crossed in 2 weeks the sickness will all be over for you Clara. I wouldn't worry if you'r'e eating more junk food either, if you can manage pizza or McDonalds them eat as much of it as you can!

Could you ask your doctor for some anti-sickness tablets to take when it gets really bad?

Glad you have an EDD date cats - how exciting?!
  • Thanks cyantist,

I hope so too, it does seem to have gotten progressively worse over the last couple of weeks! I notice I feel worst when I'm tired which seems to be about 2pm lol could do with a nap but need to be at work until 5pm:rotfl:

It's just rotten but not unbearable xxx
