Hello, can I join? I'm 7 weeks pregnant (today) with my second. I have a 2.5 year old son and used this forum when I was pregnant with him.

I'm feeling so much worse this time, my nausea is constant and I'm really struggling to do anything. I went to the GP yesterday and am now being treated for a UTI, they think the infection is making the morning sickness worse. I hope that once it clears, the nausea will settle. I forgot how awful early pregnany can make you feel! I found out quite early too, so it's dragging already!

    Welcome Faerie!

I am actually going to leave you though I'm afraid but only for a good reason! Got harmony results back and all fine so I'm confident in moving across to the next thread at 13+3.

We also found out we're having a girl! I'm actually really surprised as from scan pics I thought boy and old wives tales said boy too but I obviously don't mind!! Think OH would love a little boy but he will just be super happy that all is well :-) really excited to tell him tonight!

YAY Cats!! I am SO excited for you. :j:j:j
I was just logging on one last time before heading off to my early scan this evening. I am terrified, but your post has (once again) given me some positive vibes, so thank you.
Good luck over in the new thread and try to start enjoying it now :)
    Huge hugs.

Welcome Faerie - sorry to hear that you're having such a horrible time of it - hope it eases off soon.

Clara - are you feeling any better yet?? Hopefully the Spanish sun will do you the world of good!

    Welcome Faerie:hello:

Congratulations Cats! So glad everything is going well for you! Had no idea they could tell the sex so early! :T Hope to see you over on the next thread in a couple of weeks xx

KeeKee, I have been much better over the last couple of days with the nausea! Still don't have much of an appetite but have woken up with a terrible headache this morning :( We are having terrible wet and muggy weather so I blame that! I have bitten the bullet this morning and taken some paracetamol though. I wouldn't be able to muddle though work with this one today!

Can't wait for some sun but still haven't found the energy to pack and still panicking a bit about travelling when feeling unwell!

Hope your scan has gone well? x

Morning ladies. So, just a quick update as I don't know what to make of this really so I am just planning to try and "wait and see".

Had the early scan last night at 7+4 (going from LMP). At first she couldn't see much so had to have an internal. The sac was visible straight away but it seemed to take forever before she said "there it is!" And then even longer to see the heartbeat - but a heartbeat was definitely there! So, that's the good bit.

The (potentially) not so good bit is that she measured it at 6+2. I thought I was pretty certain of my dates because we could only DTD up to CD14 as I was then away, but by her dates, I would have to have conceived around a week later (they take their dates as OV +14 days). I know there are positive possibilities - either the measurements are a bit out or I did OV later and was lucky with strong swimmers! But, its enough to make me very wary.

So, I'm now booked in for another scan next Friday and just trying to keep chilled about it until then. The worst thing is knowing that I can do absolutely nothing. Either we go back on Friday and there's a heartbeat, or there isn't. Its going to be a long week...

Clara - I think you're right to take the tablets - if you're feeling that bad, there's just no point in suffering. And make sure you drink loads of water!

    xx
  • Keekee hopefully your dates will move a little closer next Friday and all will be well. It's certainly possible you could have caught a couple of days after ov. The measurements could be out slightly, after all everything is so tiny at that point. Sending lots of positive vibes x

KeeKee definitely stay positive. I had my early at 8 weeks and they could still barely see anything as it's just sooo early. Thinking of you xx

  • Aww KeeKee, sending positive thoughts for you! Xx

I only lasted 2 hours at work and decided to come home sick. I slept for a couple f hours and my headache is gone but I just feel exhausted! I'm getting really annoyed with myself so being so tired all the time. The house is a mess and I've not been able to cook a proper meal for around a month! My DH has been working late and weekends in a project at work and he's very tired too. He does all the cleaning at the moment and we're living off toast and takeaways!! feel like I really need to get my backside into gear :(
