Hi all just checking in. It's very quiet on here! 8 wks tomorrow by my dates. Scan on Tues but getting increasingly unsure given my lack of symptoms. I just don't really feel pregnant like everyone says I should!

Nausea has died down again the last few days and although hunger/appetite issues are still there I don't have much else. Boobs are a little different to normal but nowhere near like other people imply, and although I've been slightly sleepier in the evenings it only ties in with us sleeping badly due to work stress.

Ah well at least Tues will tell me either way :-)

  • Hello everyone. One week on from missed period and 2 positive tests later looks like I need to be joining you.

Not booked a GP app yet as really busy at work (family business) and want to keep it to ourselves till first scan but I promised OH I will ring tomorrow as having slight cramping pains and a lack of appetite. Think it's totally normal from what I've read but he is a worrier.

Super excited but also feeling really nervous about how family will take it and how we'll be financially (all happened a bit sooner than we were planning)

    Yey congrats mouse!!!

Clara I'm sure you can ring and change it if you'd prefer, personally I would but I know you'll have been waiting a while so may not want to.

I will lurk here for a bit. I know the next thread is usually quite quiet so will stick around to keep an eye on your pregnancies too. Xx

Thanks Newthrift, was happy to see the 3+ this morning. I knew I should have went with my gut on dates from the go!

Cats, I could phone and change but our date is the day before we go on holiday and would love to have my scan before I go and who knows when I'd end up getting another! Are there many disadvantages of having your "12 week scan" a week early? Hope your scan tomorrow goes well xx

I think it's only that your risk is at its lowest after 12 weeks so technically there is still a slightly higher risk between 11 and 12 weeks than after 12.

But realistically it'll be pretty tiny!! Will you be exactly 11 weeks or nearer on for 12 anyway? Most people round here have them between 12 and 13.5 but I'm pretty sure other areas are less specific anyway. And it will be so nice before your hol!!

I can't wait for tomorrow. Am preparing for bad news but just happy we will know either way :-) then hopefully I can relax very slightly more until 12 wks if it's positive.
