Hey Clara - I'm having mine privately. It's expensive round us but after the amount I've thrown at acupuncture, tests etc I have no issue paying it.

That is true about opks and def worked for me - maybe treat yourself to another digital and see if you're getting 3+? I know some people say they can be unreliable but I had 3+ at 5+6 and had had 2-3 at 4+5 so seems to be accurate.

I'm the same Cats, nausea all day but not being sick. Almost wish I was sick so I could get that sense of relief afterwards (although I hate throwing up, so don't really want that). Ugh, pregnancy is just so glamorous!

Thanks Cats, I have a spare digi so may take it in the next couple of days! I never knew that before about OPKS! Do the digital OPKS do that too? As I had a solid smiley on the CB dual digi at the same time!

If it eases your mind, then an early scan is priceless xxx

Sorry you are having so much nausea too BIg :(

I don't know about digital ones sorry but it's quite possible!

For me it definitely is priceless. I'm so angry in a way that the whole experience of TTC for so long has made me not enjoy being pregnant at all. OH & I don't talk about it and don't get excited because after so many months of disappointment I think we just believe this will be the same. Every day all I think is "1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage" - not the fact that 3 in 4 don't!! For instance, I know that the stats indicate my risk could still be as high as 10-15% :( ergh!!

I feel mad at mother nature for taking away my chance to be excited :(

Aww Cats, that's horrible that you feel like that! Well hopefully this scan with ease your mind and you can start enjoying your pregnancy!

I've been looking into a private scan, they are expensive but not as much as I thought it would be in my area. I'm really not sure what to do.

Oh I'm so sorry I didn't mean to worry you!! I am a very negative person and a control freak - believe me I wish I wasn't as is costing us almost £100!! We also know a large number of people who have had losses which I think has been the tipping point. Without that I think we'd be a lot more relaxed.

In more amusing news I just had a masosve hunger wave (my biggest symptom by far by the way) and craved a veggie delight subway! Which I've not had since I was vegetarian in my teens!!

Not at all cats! I'm just a natural worrier and don't like not being in control lol just getting my head all pickled! I've just had a discussion with the hubby though and he thinks we should just "go with the flow" and wait until our 12 week scan. I trust his instinct.

Are you gonna have your subway? Lol

I did indeed :-D hunger is driving me mental, my life is a constant back and forth between being starving or being nauseous!!!

Cats I completely understand your attitude having been given bad news previously. I still can't see that far into the future as I'm trying to protect myself as much as possible as we had all of our dreams shattered when we had Poppy's scan. I now take things a day at a time. Fingers crossed for all of us that this time we get some good news. Xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I can understand why you don't want to let yourself get excited, but I do hope you'll get to enjoy at least part of the journey Cats. Hope the scan goes well. (My husband's refusing to show much interest until we've had our scan 'just in case'.)

Texted midwife today about scan appointment but heard nothing back yet. 11 weeks tomorrow...
