Hi Ladies,
So sorry Vanilla, it is heartbreaking, please look after yourself. Sexymouse, I will be thinking of you today.

Some news here, I was phoned on Tuesday to come in for a scan on Wednesday, it was v short notice but with our history I wanted to know as soon as possible if anything was wrong. The scan went well actually, baby is measuring the right size and is in the right place, it is still to early to say if it has the chromosome abnormalities of my previous pregnancies but the sonographer seemed happy at this stage. I then saw the consultant and a midwife. The consultant was much more pragmatic in terms of diagnosis and has recommended the CVS which we need to think about.

The poor midwife then did the booking in and blood tests and no word of a lie the blood test was a blood bath, blood was squirting out the edge of the needle under pressure, it was awful! I felt bad for her as she was lovely but never known anything like it, my jeans were covered and then they had no plasters!

The news was confirmed today that there's significant amounts of brain matter in the encephalocele and we've been advised to end the pregnancy.

I got my scan date today, 27th November. I will be exactly 12 weeks. Was back at work today after a couple days off sick. Was feeling so ill and tired but perked up a bit now.
