Had my docs appt today to inform them and was basically just given a slip of paper with community midwife and clinic numbers on to call and book in myself - called the clinic one and was told I don't need to go there until 16 weeks so called the other one and it's just an inbox to leave your name and number for them to call you back. A bit frustrating but the ball is rolling at least! Hope everyone is ok.

    Ah, that's frustrating MancMama.

Don't know what's happened to me, but I seem to be so tired over the last couple of days. I've just woken up to hubby telling me he's off to do the shopping (we were both supposed to go) before he picks our LO up from nursery. I felt like I was starting to get over the tiredness, but its definitely back!

    Have a good weekend all.

Where in Manchester are you? (I am presuming you are from manchester given your name) I went to the Dr who transferred me to the community midwife they then passed on my details and I have my booking in at Salford Royal in a couple of weeks I should be ten weeks then

  • Hello everyone, hope its OK for me to come and join in?
I really feel like I need to talk to people !!

By my calculations I am 4 weeks + 4, so still very early.

The only symptoms I have are feeling VERY energetic and bloated. I have crohns disease, so Im always tired and sleepy, so its crazy to wake up feeling awake!!! Though, I know it wont last... haha

I am terrified of morning sickess and feeling horrible. Even though I have crohns, im not a very good patient when I start to feel ill.

welcome queenlizard, fingers crossed the energy stays with you!

I had my 12 week scan a few days ago. All looks ok although baby wasn't behaving and so sonographer couldn't do some of the checks she wanted to do. The appointment wasn't quite as I expected as she didn't turn the screen to us so we could see - my OH could crane his neck and see some things but as I was lay down I couldn't. But having never had an NHS scan before I guess I shouldn't have assumed what might happen and it is more important the sonographer/midwife can see things than us!

Glad we have previously had the private scan as at least then I saw and heard things! Hearing the heartbeat was the best thing ever!

So that is me graduating to the next thread!!!! Hope to see you all there soon! xx
    Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:
    Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44
    Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.10
  • Hi queenlizard, welcome and congratulations! Send me some of that energy you have, I'm exhausted :D I have bad IBS which is nowhere near as bad as crohns I know, but I often feel ill in the mornings and through the day even before pregnancy.

I just found eating to be the best way to keep sickness at bay. You may be really lucky and not have any sickness, you might feel sick but find some foods that you can eat and nibble on them to help you along :)

Glad it went well for you :) We could see the screen (with me turning around) last time so I think it is completely reasonable to think that you might be able to see the screen too. I love the early heartbeat sound, so fast :D Hopefully see you on the next thread :)
  • I'm in Sale skint, so mine will be under Wythenshawe hosp. The midwife rang me back yesterday and took some details and said my booking in appt will come in the post and they will be able to give me my scan date at booking in which is good.

Something happened last night which is troubling me a bit... sorry for tmi but I've been constipated this week and went last night and there was a bit of blood when I wiped... I obvious panicked as thought it was something else but it was definitely from my bottom (again so sorry for tmi). It happened again a little this morning, not in any pain really just think it's a little tear from straining... if it is still happening on Monday though will call GP. It's really on my mind though.

Welcome aboard newbies wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months Xx
