  • I think if it is bright red they often suspect a little tear or a pile (though you'd likely know about the latter due to pain!) rather than anything more sinister. Sounds quite likely if you are constipated. The glamour of pregnancy :)

I'm in Sale skint, so mine will be under Wythenshawe hosp. The midwife rang me back yesterday and took some details and said my booking in appt will come in the post and they will be able to give me my scan date at booking in which is good.

Something happened last night which is troubling me a bit... sorry for tmi but I've been constipated this week and went last night and there was a bit of blood when I wiped... I obvious panicked as thought it was something else but it was definitely from my bottom (again so sorry for tmi). It happened again a little this morning, not in any pain really just think it's a little tear from straining... if it is still happening on Monday though will call GP. It's really on my mind though.

Welcome aboard newbies wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months Xx

I agree with moneypenny, its prob due to the constipation if it is your bottom area, then you may have just tore it a little. Let us know if it has cleared up.. I'm sure it has.

I'm living in Astley now, although it isn't the closest we have chosen St Marys, but for some reason my booking in is at Salford (even though I don't think they have the maternity ward anymore)

Welcome queenlizard... if you feel that you are missing out on the sickness you can always have some of mine!! :o

Welcome queenlizard wishing you a boring pregnancy. I could do with some of your energy though, like last time I'm permanently exhausted.
Mancmama, I'm sure it's just related to your constipation, unfortunately that's one of the things I'm suffering from. Try having some extra fibre or prunes. When we graduate these thread prunes will be a large part of our lives making sure when our babies are weaning that they stay regular. Nothing will ever be tmi!!
  • Is anyone on their first pregnancy? I'm 29 and we planned this baby but I keep suddenly getting very scared and nervous of everything!!!
The pregnancy... The birth, oh god the birth!! And then how much our life will change. Please tell me this is normal?!?

  • I'm on my second but still have some of those terrified feelings! Totally normal! On paper I had a terrible first birth but loved every second of it, pain and all :)

I had a big melt down at 25 weeks last time when I realised the baby had to come out somehow! By 40 weeks you'll feel ready honestly xxx its a massive life changer no amount of preparedness can prepare you but you will get through it :)
  • Hi everyone,

Really sorry to hear your respective news Mouse and Vanilla, take care of yourselves and you OH's xxx

Welcome Lizard, glad to hear you're feeling ok so far (physically at least!). I am 32 and we planned this baby and tried for 6 months but I have spent the last few weeks in various states of terror, either that something will go wrong with the pregnancy or what it means for our lives and that nothing will ever be the same! I think it's pretty common at this stage and is made significantly worse by all the hormones that are flying around.

We had the first of our private early scans yesterday, I'm 6+5 today so still pretty early but we were able to see the little peanut is definitely there and had a tiny beating heart! Was pretty amazing to see. I definitely feel better for seeing what was going on in there so it was definitely worth spending the money for me. The lady who did it was really nice and reassuring as well and told me that everything looks really good for this stage.

Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

    Hi all

Hope you all had good weekends. I was thoroughly spoilt on Friday as it was my birthday. DH clubbed together with his mum and bought me two charms for my Pandora bracelet - one was a heart with 'Mum' on it and the other was a little silver pram......I bawled my eyes out! Ruddy hormones!

MIL cooked a lovely birthday meal too and my brother found out that his wife is expecting a girl. They are very happy as they already have two boys.

So lots of good stuff, peppered with continuing nausea and the odd upset stomach. Hoping it doesn't last much longer.

Have a great day all xxx

  • Happy birthday for Friday Euronorris! That is so sweet! Love a good bit of hormonal bawling :D How far along are you now? Hoping you feel better soon x

I am on day 3 of feeling less sick. Still feel tired and a bit sick but nothing like how I felt last week. Of course rather than being pleased, I'm now worrying that there is something wrong. I'm 7+1 now. Anyone else find their nausea fluctuated? Last time I just felt awful all the way through.
