Just popping back from the 12-24 thread - have you tried lemon and ginger tea? I went of normal tea completely this time around from weeks 6-14 (and I LOVE tea!) but ginger tea was great for my nausea. Also peppermint tea, which I hate but it really helped when I had major bloating early on.
ps, congratulations, I think we were on the waiting to TTC thread together back in 2011/2012 :)

Thanks LittleMoog. I have some Peppermint tea, and Lemon tea (though no lemon and ginger tea) in my drawer here at work, so I'll try those as well. I blinking love tea usually!

Thank you. Yes, I was on that thread back then :) Congrats on your pregnancy as well :D

I remember you from the other pregnancy thread in 2012 too :) Congrats on your second impending arrival :)
  • Vanilla hope all goes well today keep us posted x

Can't actually believe the tiredness... I did nothing but sleep the weekend away, every couple of hours I felt like I needed a nap, its actually crazy! I still feel tired this morning... and possibly a bit nauseous...

Went out and bought a maternity bra yesterday which should hopefully make sleeping a bit easier as boobs have been really sore all weekend.

Hope everyone is ok today x

Well, I had some peanuts in my drawer which I tried, and they didn't make me feel sick/any worse. So I ate as many of those as I could until lunchtime to try and stop me from getting too hungry. I was already hungry as didn't eat much yesterday.

Got some grub at lunchtime. None of it healthy, but it all went down a treat. So, now feel full and not nauseous. Woohoo!

Also picked up some ginger tea, and lemon and ginger tea :)

I'm thinking of getting a maternity bra. They are so uncomfortable at night now. My arms are always catching them and squashing them :( Where did you get yours from mancmama? Does anyone else have any recommendations?

  • I got my last one from Debenhams euronorris, good if you are particularly large on top already. I went up 3 cup sizes last time and have never gone down. Hoping I don't go up another 3 sizes this time!!

For me, grazing all day is the best way to combat sickness, I just nibbled crackers, avocados and other non strongly flavoured items through the day. I totally went off tea which I love and begged the nurse for a cup of tea in the delivery room after I had had my first child. Pregnancy does very strange things to you! Hope the sickness stays away today euronorris :)

Hi all, hope everyone is well. I've been visiting my parents this weekend, so haven't had chance to pop on, so just trying to catch up. Hope all is OK vanilla.

I've got my date through for my 12 week scan, which is 11th Nov, so I'll be 12+4. Can't wait to see baby again, and be able to tell everyone. Had an awkward moment at work today when a colleague was talking about how she was getting too old to have a baby, and was joking about how it would be me next. Don't think I gave it away (at least I hope I didn't!!).

I also managed a full proper meal last night, for the 1st time in ages! woohoo! Nothing I'm eating is especially healthy, but for the last few weeks it's been more about getting food, rather than anything else.
Married my wonderful husband 31st July 2011 :j
    Baby boy born April 2013 - and 2 became 3! :)
    Baby number 2 due May 2016 - 3 will become 4! :)

Crisps seem to be the only thing getting me by at the moment. We had a bake day at work today and I couldn't touch any of it as tempting as it was!

Yay for 12 week scan date lolly. That isn't too far away!

euro I got mine from Mothercare, 2 pack for £30, not the cheapest but they are very comfy and don't look like maternity bras if that makes any sense?!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone although I don't think I have good news; managed to get a scan at my local EGU after going to a&e today- Had the scan, they couldn't see anything in my uterus, although it's thickened, so I've either
ovulated later than I thought and in very early pregnancy,
    already had a miscarriage,
or got an ectopic pregnancy, although she couldn't see anything in my tubes, so I've had a blood test and have to go back on Wednesday for another one
  • Big hugs Vanilla xxx how far along did you think you were? Fingers crossed You ovulated late xx hope you get some definitive answers soon xxx
