I'm spotty too - the really painful ones that take ages to heal up! I found one on my back near my bra strap this morning too. Luckily my hair isn't greasy too (it's dry and horrible and in need of a cut but at least I don't have the full teenage package) lol.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hi All, I am just joining in, hope that is OK. I am ~6wks with my 2nd baba. All had been going well, some symptoms, no sickness yet etc. until I got a sickness bug so have felt pretty rotten the last few days
Just wondered if any of you had experienced a period type pain on one side only, it comes and goes but is very much an ache/niggle rather than a stabbing/severe pain. Didn't have this last time and am now in the extreme worry phase of pregnancy with no one to talk to and don't see a midwife until 12 weeks (does time go slower before 12 weeks?! I think so!).
Hope to join you as and when I can though harder with a toddler to get on here than last time!Hope you are all having healthy pregnancies x

Hi moneypenny, I have the exact same thing just on my left side (7weeks) I went to see the midwife this afternoon and she told me that it is most likely my uretha stretching, she told me that it is pretty common, so has eased my mind a little.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

Congratulations moneypenny! There are a couple of us on here with a second pregnancy and a toddler (mine is 3). In answer to your question I did have periody type pain at around the same point - I think it's to do with implantation. It could also be the uterus growing and round ligament pain.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Darn! Just typed a long message and its gone!
Congratulations Moneypenny.
Mancmama I'm also the main breadwinner and we're trying to save for my maternity leave so won't have a private scan.
I don't feel I have any symptoms of twins I'm just paranoid because of my age, and because there were so many sets last year in the town where I live.
I also have a little one, she's 13 months old.0 -
Thanks skintbuthappy and sexymouse, that is really reassuring
Its horrible not being able to see a midwife until 12 weeks, but at least not as bad as the first time round!
On the topic of early scans we paid for a private scan at 10 weeks as I was riddled with anxiety about it after having a few small bleeds (all was fine thank fully). I'm hoping 12 weeks comes around without too many problems but I can see me getting worried and paying for an early scan again even though they are expensive!
I think I remember you off the old thread sexymouse, mine is almost 3!0 -
Thanks LemonTree - funny you should mention twins, the ClearBlue put me at 2-3 weeks when I knew I was at 1-2 so I was convinced it might be twins - doctor seemed less sure about my reasoning0

Ladies I have my 12 week scan tomorrow. So nervous. I felt like this last time. Just can't shift the feeling there is something wrong (even though I'm still sick as a dog).
Also got told I have Group B Strep, so currently taking antibiotics. These have to be taken 4 times a day on an empty stomach (when does a pregnant lady ever have an empty stomach)

Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Unfortunately my stomach is often empty due to sickness and reflux disease which have completely destroyed my appetite. I think I may even have lost weight! Hopefully see you on the other thread next week. I know it's hard not to worry. Get some sleep if you can. Don't forget to update us after.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
