black ribboner i've experienced cramps, sometimes strong enough to stop you in your tracks for a few seconds, but i believe them to be normal as littlemoog has said.

Sickness is still here and doesn't seem to be easing off anytime soon. boooooooo. lol

I've had a call from the local midwife and shes bumped up my appointment for my booking in to tomorrow. What am i supposed to say to get out of work for a hour when i hadn't planned on telling them until after my scan!?!?!?!?!?

Got major scanxiety now, hour and bit to go. Actually sitting at my desk shaking and can't concentrate on work (hence waffling on here!)

sweetilemon - how awful for you, years ago i was very broody and it wasnt happening because of who i was with it was hard for me but i would never have dreamed of saying to folk what they should or shouldnt have eaten...try not let it damper you

Me-charlotte, I'd tell work, or otherwise pull a sickie. I was told to allow up to 3 hours for booking in - it actually took four, from scheduled appointment time to getting home again. In my area they send you for bloods at the same time, hence the length, but just the midwife appointment was well over an hour, by the time we'd gone through full medical history, all the advice and leaflets etc. So you might need to be out of the office for a while, especially if you need to travel to the clinic.

It's not cheap in my hospital and a bit confusing-it's £5 per token, each token gives 2 prints, maximum of 2 tokens (4 prints) allowed per scan. So £2.50 each print, and you have to get the tokens from a vending machine before you go in for the scan. So I've got 10 pound coins ready! I know it doesn't cost that much to print them (I'm a Radiographer who started my career as an ultrasound assistant...) so I hope the money is put to good use!

Hi Black Ribboner, and welcome. I had cramps & spotting around 7 weeks, had a scan & all was ok. I've been getting cramps on & off the last few weeks as well, nothing too alarming though & I've read this can happen as the uterus expands, & as someone has already said the ligaments are stretching too. It could also be your bowels as pregnancy can do interesting things to those, I've found it difficult to distinguish lately what's what!

Black ribboner, I have cramps often and one night had a hot flush/sore cramps, really painful. Had my scan and all is well so not sure what it was - possibly bowels!

Laura that does sound confusing. It is a lot when your saving for a baby. I got one with the dotted lines and measurements and the other was plain. Hope I get more next time.
