oh thats awful glad you got on better this time, its strange how different areas advice different things i was told 25mg but my midwife pal in the next county says they advise 50mg

So glad the GP was on your side, without a fight, Littlemoog! I find it makes such a difference.

Congratulations to the new members of the thread too :T In my area, you don't see a GP to get into the maternity system, you just request the midwife through the booking appt line and get put through to their dedicated admin.

We had a few days away and it was bliss as just able to relax and take it easy as DH was around to help with our 2 year old. We got our scan date through whilst we were away - 13th of August. Just over 4 weeks. I asked for an early scan but was told that as my last pregnancy was successful I don't qualify this time.
I'm terrified of not being able to hide it for another 4 weeks and then getting bad news.

I agree with taking folic acid at night rather than in the morning!

Welcome newbies and congrats to our graduates!! I've just updated my EDD as my maths was a bit out

I've been taking these pregnancy vitamins from Tesco since we started TTC:

They're cheap but have the exact same ingredients as the more expensive ones. Note: the tablets are HUGE (there is a pic on the back of the pack that shows how big) so if you're no good at taking tablets then avoid these!

The Seven Seas ones are more expensive but the pills are nice and small:

I'm 5+3 today, feeling a bit nauseous but no other symptoms really. Still don't have a booking in appointment yet as I in the middle of changing doctors - they should have me on their system by tomorrow so I'll give them a call then. Hopefully I can skip seeing the GP and just book straight in with midwife, as it's awkward getting the time off work for appointments!

Saying that, ai think the due date for twins is 37 weeks (not sure on this!) so that means the new due date is technically 6th January.

I do have a prominent bump. I'm almost 5'11 and a size 8/10, so it os really obvious as normally i have a totally flat stomach. Will attempt a photo later!

(The body shape is genetic btw... I do very little exercise! Don't you just love genes?!?! I know, i am very lucky...)

Loving you and leaving you - again. :sad:

Fourth miscarriage and sixth baby lost - confirmed this morning by another scan at 9 weeks.

ERPC booked for tomorrow morning at a local private hospital and they will do cytogenetic testing again on the contents of the pregnancy. Depending on the results, we may have further DNA testing in the future but right now, I'm not sure how many more losses we can take.

Wishing you all lots of love and luck for your pregnancies and hope to see you all again on the boards some day.
