Two heartbeats!! I cried. Total state of shock! Got to go back next week for another scan as they were both in a really awkward position, so will stay on here for another week until I get the all clear... don't think it has sunk in yet. Eeeeek!

    Hey PinkShoes

How many weeks are you? Do you have a bump yet?

Just catching up and how exciting Pinkshoes!! Hope you can see everything properly in the next scan :)

Hope you manage to get a place sorted, Niptuck!

Looks like I'm in the same boat as most needing around 2k to bridge the gap on maternity. Although, I might need to round it up to 2.5k as I'm planning on making a big effort to take him/her to see my OH's family as much as possible (they live 45mins away where my parents are barely 10 minutes) so I need to account for the extra fuel? Already see my parents a few times a week so don't need to worry on their side.

Confession time: I was feeling so "normal" yesterday that I dug out some unused tests and did one to make sure I didn't just have strange wee a few weeks back :o:o I don't have many symptoms bar feeling nauseous and tired. It's a week tomorrow I see the midwife and honestly, it can't come soon enough! Still doesn't feel real.

Afternoon ladies. Laura-hoggle, they say brown spotting is better than red, and whilst it's not normal, it is common. Hopefully you get to see someone soon.

Cinny, I think we all feel the first few weeks are so unbearable long. It does feel like you get the buzz of a bfp, then nothing but waiting and second guessing every symptom. I took several hpt's a few weeks ago just to confirm I hadn't just made it all up.

Just got back from the scan.....and all is great. Can't believe I am writing this though after two mmc!. Still not really sunk in. One baby, one heartbeat, two arms, one head and two very long legs (OH is 6'6!!!). Got a lovely photo and measured ahead at 13 weeks. Burst into tears when the lady said it was safe to look at the screen.

Moving over to the next thread soon, but will be keeping a close eye on everyone here. Thank you all for the support!

So I've made an appointment with the dr, but the earliest they can fit me in around work is the 24th. Don't want all the questions from work colleagues why i need time off to go the drs, not yet anyway.
I'm going to get some folic acid and some vitamins tonight on my way home from work, any cheap suggestions on what to get?

Also i've not had any symptoms at all, no feeling sick, cramps, hoping this continues.

What are the do's and don'ts of exercising whilst pregnant. for the past 6 months i've been losing weight by exercising in a resistance style with weights and cardio, is it still safe to do this now as long as i stop if i feel unwell at all??

I've got the sanatogen mum-to-be ones which contain folic acid as well as all the other vitamins. You need a specific pregnancy one as they contain a lower level of vitamin A. The folic acid is only really important up to about 12 weeks, but won't do any harm to take it throughout.

General advice on exercising is that if you were used to doing it you should be ok to continue, but not to start anything new/intense. I believe that the guidance is that you shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant though, so you might want to adapt your exercises a bit?

I got the Sanatogen ones too, but found they made my feel (even more) sick and had a bit of a poorly tummy on them. Got some separate Sainsbury's Vitamin D and Folic Acid tablets and have been much better since.

Trial and error with multi-vits; I've found if I take them before bed on a medium-full stomach then I am ok. Taking them in the morning is a recipe for disaster!
