I was 7+4. Stopped bleeding now but was going for 4 days (Thurs to Sun) Saw the heartbeat flashing away like a disco ball, was amazing.

Thanks guys. TamVilla that's really good to hear the bleeding has stopped. My odd discharge keeps coming & going through the day, I'm so paranoid every time I go to the loo! Haven't seen any more pink side last night though.

I'm really glad now I've had to tell people at work about the pregnancy; I feel so much better being able to be honest with people about why I'm having to take time off work, especially now there's a potential cardiac issue, and they are all being supportive. Although I have told more people than I had planned, as some people have been guessing why I look like poo! We plan to tell the in laws this weekend-I'm booked on a spa day with MIL and SIL and I had to sneakily change my treatment as it wasn't suitable during pregnancy!

Have to go into EPU at 11.30 had some bleeding at just over 5 weeks (knew it was too early and it stopped so I just left it) and again this morning (6+5).
The blood was brown so not new but if I had bleeding last week could it be that it's a MMC? I had a MMC before having DD1 but don't remember bleeding intermittently.

Also OH is the only one in the office so can't get away so I will be going on my own.

I just rang my local hospital to chase my first scan appointment (I'm 9+4 and it's over 2 weeks since my booking in).

I'm on the system but I don't have an appointment yet.

Just wondering why people were talking about what folic acid to buy? Is there something wrong with the folic acid and vitamin supplement you get from the midwife? Or is it just not all practices give out free supplements? (I don't qualify for the healthy start scheme personally but was still offered the tablets)

Feeling a little extra nauseous today. Still feeling lucky to have missed morning sickness so far - I did have a couple times when I was sick early on but I think I'd just wound myself up with worry and that's my body's go-to way of coping

highlandlass. I had a mmc in march and didnt have any bleeding at all, the mw told me if I did bleed before I had surgery it would have been clotty and red. It could be implantation or old blood. Good luck x

Cinny I dont think there is a difference between the folic acids. I have been taking pregnacare as it has all the extra vitamins but its personal choice. I only took folic acid with ds then switched to pregnacare at 12weeks.

Hi all,

Hope its ok that i join this thread. I'm 6+1 today and have been trying for 3 days to contact the hospital to see if my referral from GP has been received - my GP sent it on 7th and asked if i could phone up and check that it has been recieved (i'm going to a hospital that isn't the main hospital most people from my GP surgery go to). I've been given all kinds of different numbers - which either just ring out, or finally got through to someone and she said I wasn't on the system but she can't check if my referral has been recieved and gave me the number for antenatal clinic - which is just ringing and ringing!

So my question is - should i have heard something by now? I just had a brief 5 min chat with my GP when i first told her, i've heard people talking about booking in appointments and then the 12 week scan after that , have i got that right? In which case when are you supposed to have the booking in appointment - should i have had that now or at least been given an appointment?

Worrying about everything already!

Our scan went well today - we saw a yolk sac, foetal pole and heartbeat, although have been measured as 6+3, so 6 days behind LMP estimate (but I thought I OV'd late). Sprout measured as 6.6mm, and saw the heartbeat flickering away. I cheekily asked for some pics, which they gave to me for free so I was really happy with that. I'll update my EDD with the new date.

Highland lass, I really hope the scan has gone ok. Hopefully if it has just been brown then it's old blood x
