  • All is fine :D

had to wait 1.5 hours for the Dr to do the scan as he was in surgery.... It felt like 5 hours! Anyway he said I'm measuring smaller than 6+5 he thinks more like 4.5-5 weeks but he found a heartbeat. It was tiny but definitely there.

I'm a little confused though I thought that you wouldn't see a heartbeat that early. Until the dating scan I am going to go by my dates.

    Thanks for the support xxx

That's great news Highlandlass, glad it went well. Hope they didn't ask you to hold a full bladder while you were waiting for the doctor!!

They didn't give me any indication to what might have caused my spotting or cramps, but I think the cramps might have been me getting confused with my bowels (sorry if TMI!) as I've had a lot of diarrhoea lately, which I've heard is fairly common in early pregnancy, and I was prone to a lot anyway. It just didn't feel the same as it does when I'm not pregnant! The spotting I'm fairly certain was old blood (although not so sure about the pink) and may have been dislodged while my abdominal muscles were tensing and contracting after a bout of sickness I suppose.

Glad everything was ok Higlandlass :)

I've been feeling really queasy this week, but not actually been sick yet. With my DD I didn't feel sick all the time, just right before I was going to throw up (which was often!). Weird how things can be so different. Still early days though, I think my sickness didn't kick in until 8 weeks with her. It's quite reassuring to have the nausea though. I've had some very faintly brown CM for the last day or so, not much, but there every time I go to the loo. Hoping it's not a sign that things are going wrong again. My early scan on Tuesday seems an age away, I wish I'd accepted the one for today now, but I wanted to get past 6 weeks at the weekend so we'll hopefully be able to see the heartbeat.

Gah, my brown tinged cm has turned into pink tinged cm :o not feeling very hopeful today, been very emotional and weepy for the last few days and now I just want to go and hide in a cupboard until hometime. :(

Sorry to hear that LittleMoog... If you are really worried, you could always go to A&E-that's what my GP told me if things got worse in between seeing them & my early scan. A few of my friends have said they've had similar, after I told them about mine, so fingers crossed all is ok with you xxx

Hey! Can I join? My first MW appointment is on Monday. I'm 5 +6 just now, think I'll relax after my first scan. Told a couple of people but not my parents or in laws yet until it's a confirmed healthy pregnancy. Meant to say - symptoms have been mild cramps everyday and slight feeling of nausea. I started off with the cold and very tired, now ok although tired on and off.
