If the readings are that accurate, won't she already know you're pg?!
My DH pretty much left it to me who we would tell and we've each told 1 or 2 people without checking with each other first too. I understand your OH wants to avoid endless questions from lots of people, but I think it's unfair that you can't tell your best friend who would likely be a great support to you and would surely be able to keep the secret, if that's what you really want?
Haha I know right! Apparently the psychic said her first grandchild will be born in January 2017. When we found out OH said "well she got the month right" If she was so correct she would have got the year too!
I text him the other day saying "I really want to tell her", especially as she keeps asking me about this theme park trip at the end of the month. He just kept saying "Not yet." Yes, 5 weeks is early but making me wait 12 weeks to tell people is torture! I still have 5 and a half weeks until my booking in appointment! It's making me quite sad to be honest. But he didn't like people knowing that we were TTC, not even my best friend who told nobody!
I'm seeing my girls on Sunday. All I want to do is tell them. They will be thrilled. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Afternoon ladies
Hope everyone had a nice weekend? I've been pretty tired all weekend, but managed to get an hour's nap on Saturday while DH and DD did playdough togetherWe went to my godson's birthday party yesterday, was so hard not to tell our friends about the baby, especially as 2 of them are pregnant too, and we told them early last time due to weddings/hen dos etc. Luckily DD didn't announce it, which she did last weekend to MIL (who knew anyway). "Mummy's got a baby in her tummy"!

Afternoon Moog!
Sounds like a lovely weekend! Good job DD didn't tell the world, bless her, she's probably so excited!
We had a chilled day of cleaning on Saturday then Sunday I went for lunch with my friends and it was so hard not to tell them, but I wish I had as they keep arranging things for us to do that a pregnant lady shouldn't do (like drinking!) I've decided I'm going to be a designated driver. I've told my friends the doctor has told me no alcohol until July because of my IBS (the best lie I've ever told) so I have a great excuse. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Evening all, hope everyone is well.
Had a busy week just gone, with our son and hub's birthdays. Went to the zoo during the week for DS birthday and then a party at the weekend. Shattered. Decided to tell the rest of the immediate family and my best friend then. Finding it hard keeping the secret when I feel so rough.
Was on lates last week so been struggling. My nausea is worse in the evening but it is there through the day, like my last pregnancy. I am also so so tired. Good signs I know, but finding work, and not being able to tell them yet, difficult.
My booking in appointment was fine last week. Took wee and blood samples, blood pressure and weighed and measured me. Asked loads of questions about medical history. She said due to me having a very large baby before, 11lb, I would be referred for consultant care and possibly get extra growth scans.
I have also booked an appointment for near the end of this month for physio on my back.
My scan date came through, 17th June, which seems ages away!
Unfortunately one of my cats has gone missing, so got that worry on top of the usual pregnancy worries now!0 -

I Hope the cat is found safe and well soon.
I know how you feel with the annoying nausa. I don't think I have managed a day over the last week that I havent actually been sick around dinner time, its either just before dinner as I am serving up because the smell overwhelms me or straight after because the fussy bump decides it doesnt like yet another food but strangly my appetite is not totally gone and unless its chicken I can still eat minutes after the hugging of the porcelien.
I am getting increasingly worried as my booking in Appointment is 2 weeks away which is also my 12 week point and ive not had any mention of a scan I'm not sure if I should chase or if its something the midwife arranges at the booking in appointment. Does it differ per area or NHS trust?0 -
Hello, I'm tentatively dipping my toe in. Had my BFP on a tesco cheapy (faint line) and a clear blue with conception indicator (pregnant 1 - 2 weeks) so I' about 3/4 weeks dr style. I know it's super early and likely not to end well and I'm terrified and ecstatic in equal measure.
I had a very early miscarriage 5 years ago, I didn't know I was pregnant. This time is very different, for one we've trying (I've been one of the very lucky ones who caught first time) and I've pregnancy symptoms for about a week already - tiredness, back ache, nausea and dizziness and peeing like a racehorse.
OH and I were shocked initially. I came off the pill in Feb, had one brief period and a messed up cycle (I didn't count it as a proper cycle), went on honeymoon to Thailand and came on properly whilst there, decided to give it a go, DTD on the friday before I was due to ovulate on the monday, visited friends with a one year old and had a total 'I'm not ready for this' freakout, decided to NTNP for 6 months, unknowingly already up the duff!
Both absolutely thrilled and surprised.
Booked a GP appointment online for Friday- I wouldn't really go so early on but I've got an under-active thyroid and have been told I'm at higher chance of miscarriage if my thyroid levels aren't high enough, so I just want to check it out.
Really hoping this is a sticky bean.0 -
Welcome Rambosmum! Congratulations on your BFP
I also have hypothryoidism, your GP should refer you to endocrinology and send you for a blood test to check current levels while you wait for the consultant appointment to come through. These are the NICE guidelines for treatment: http://cks.nice.org.uk/hypothyroidism#!scenario:3
Wizzypop - my scan and booking in appointments arrived in the post separately, but on the same day. If you're worried about it you could ring the community midwife service and ask if you should have received an appointment. I'd chase it up, as they can only do the nuchal fold measurement in a small window (11-14 weeks from memory), so good to get the scan booked xLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Is anyone else having really vivid dreams? I had an awful dream last night that DH was going to leave me, I woke up crying and had to wake him up for a hug! He reminded me that I had the same with DD which I'd totally forgotten. I'm also really weepy, big hormonal mess!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
