Today has been better but yesterday was hell from breakfast to bed with the sickness. A touch after lunch today but otherwise mostly ok so far. Just had tea though and usually an hour later it hits me so there is still time yet ...

    Hey ladies.

Welcome Lisa Jane., and anyone else who has recently joined.

Glad to hear the sickness has been better today Rebekah, and fingers crossed it stays away tonight.

Hope you get booked in soon for a scan dingdongavoncalling.

I'm still waiting for a date for my scan I hope it comes through soon as I need to give work as much notice as possible, so does oh, my guess is that fingers crossed it should be w/c Sunday 14th.

I have a party to go to on Friday and I have no idea what to wear! I'm really not sure my skinny jeans will fit, but although my dresses still fit none of them feel right, but I don't want to spend money on a dress that won't fit me for long! Luckily I had offered to drive to this before I even found out I was expecting.

Evening ladies. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. This has been a really long week but it's scan day tomorrow. Me and OH have had a few chats and we are both realistic about what the scan is going to say, but I know thinking it myself and being told it in plain English will be two different things :(
  • Thinking of you and your OH today, snapping. *big hugs*

Hope it goes aswell as it can do. Do come back and let us know and vent to us. It could happen to any of us at any time :(. xx
  • Thinking of you today Snapping :(

So, had my MW appointment...and it was the shortest app. ever! Basically my midwife/GP is under Stockport, but I want to give birth in Wythenshawe, which is South Manchester (it's also the closest hospital to me), so she couldn't do my booking in as it needs to be done through them :( So now I've had to ring a number and leave my details on a machine, and wait for them to call me back so I can have my actual appointment! Such an anticlimax! On the plus side I will see the MW I saw today at 16 weeks, and she was absolutely lovely :)

As far as symptoms go, I was actually sick last Friday but every other day it's just been this nagging nausea that makes me want to curl in a ball and/or eat. Bleurgh.

Blood test all done. I think in future if the midwife needs to do a blood test I'm going to ask if I can go straight to the blood test clinic as they never have any issues and get up out pretty easy!!! The lady doing my blood test is due five days before me, and was saying she has had her scan date for about three weeks - i would at least like to have a date for mine!!

Snapping- thinking of you today, please let us know how it went.

    Hope everyone is well.x
  • Rebekah - She was useless when I rang yesterday, said I had to ring ultrasound and see if they had me booked in, when I rang ultrasound they said it's a totally different depot for early scans! Anyway, found out just now I HAVE got an appointment for 10.40 tomorrow.....wasn't much notice for work, especially given we are short staffed at the moment PLUS difficult requesting time for appointments when they don't know I am pregnant! So, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Snapping, how did you get on today? I'm still crossing my fingers and toes for you xxx
  • Thank you all for your thoughts and lovely messages. Unfortunately our fears were confirmed today. I've had a miscarriage :( Luckily (if there is such a thing!) it's a complete miscarriage so I don't need any further treatment, and the midwife did a pregnancy test, which was negative, so I didn't even need bloods. I knew what the outcome was going to be but there is still a little tiny bit of me that had hoped my instincts were wrong :( TTC is so hard....and hearing those words was awful :(

Hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies :) Thank you all so much for the advice and support you have given me on my (albeit brief) stay on this thread. Me and the OH really want to get back on the horse (excuse the pun!) and try again straight away so please keep your fingers crossed for me :o Hope you don't mind me lurking to see how you all get on :) Thanks again to you all :D
  • so sorry snapping, thoughts and prayers for you and OH.
