Hi snapping - good to see you again!
Need some advice today, as there is only my OH that knows and this is our first pregnancy so we're not sure what to expect.
I had cramping throughout weeks 4/5, nausea throughout weeks 5/6 and this week I feel like all my symptoms are fading.....I hope that's not a bad signI've had no bleeding or anything, are there any other signs of something going wrong? Are symptoms fading a bad sign?
Thanks x0 -
Hi ladies (and gents..),
Can I tentatively join here please?
I found out on Monday that I am around 5 weeks pg. To put it mildly it was a shock, we were not trying and I am on the pill....
Weds I experienced bad cramping and bleeding and I was able to have an early scan yesterday so ensure everything was ok, which it seems it is.
My partner and I are both very confused and slightly terrified, we don't live together and whilst I really think he is "The One" we haven't known each other for 2 years yet. It's not the right time career-wise and we just don't feel "ready"...but I guess no one ever truly does, and we are in a much better position that many people I know that have had children.
I guess it's natural to feel confused...it's a huge thing...0 -
Sweetheart I've been together with my man for 11 years - living together for 10 and married for 5. We have one 2 year old daughter and this next baby was planned. I however do not in the slightest bit feel prepared in any way at all!!! The shock was huge for me too lol. As for the pill your not hte only one. My sister fell pregnant last christmas - found out at 6 months pregnant - she assumed she was jsut getting fat as she was eating bad! And was more shocked than ever lol. She had missed 2 pills though. It does happen. Hope you as ok as ok as you can be!0

Hey
I'm feeling much better today- luckily I have couple of days off work to relax and chill and I'm feeling better for it already (Wednesday and Thursday were busy days- and quite stressful) so it's nice to be able to recharge my batteries a little bit!! Although I think that as normally in the mornings I just get on with things and am rushing out the house at 7:30 and no one at works know so I just keep myself busy and luckily the nausea has been contained- but this morning although I wasn't sick I felt awful!!
Oh that must be hard feeling ill late at night Rebekah, I hope it passes soon- was it the same when you had your little one?
Claire A- I've noticed a change in appetite, theres certain things I usually really like that I sit there craving when I'm at work or college- now the thought of eating them makes me feel sick!! I'm quite glad though that the cravings I have had are usually stuff we have indoors, yours do sound quite random!! :rotfl: the one thing I can always manage to eat at the moment is marmite on nice crusty bread- to the extent me and OH had to pop to asda at 5:30pm (both off work today) so I could get some crusty bread!! I was amazed to weigh myself this morning and still be the same weight!!
I had my midwife appointment today, I have to go back next week for my blood test though! I really don't do needles, but was feeling ok about it, and told her this and said which arm to use as they always manage to get blood out (even though the vein isn't that easy to spot at first) anyway she said she couldn't find the vein but I had good veins in my hand so went to get it out of my hand- but couldn't get any out!! Rather than her attempting anymore and me getting stressed out I happily agreed to go next week to the proper blood test clinic where I have never previously had a bad experience! I'll be on countdown now until I get my scan date!!
DJS- welcome, I hope you are able to get your head around it, it must have come as a big shock to you. Its natural to feel terrified and confused- its a huge thing, but we are all hear if you need to chat or get your feelings off your chest.x0 -
Oddly enough no. My sickness then came on after lunch and lasted til bedtime too but wasn't as intense. It was more background discomfort - I had a lot of wind and bloating that made me feel more sick then too wchih I dont have as much this time. I am on meds for gerd so I think this is containing that side of it tbh. Its hard because its little ladies bedtime - she is hell for getting to sleep (still awake now!) although thank god when she is asleep she is ok til morning. In a way it distracts from it but when its intense leaning over the cot just makes it worse. Last ngiht it wasnt too bad in the end - until I laid down to sleep then it was rough as the slightest move hubby made had my stomach turning so I kicked him out to the spare room lol.0

dingdong, hope you are not still worrying. The problem with pregnancy is that everyone is different so it's hard to say what is a bad sign and what is normal for you. You could be really lucky and have just got used to the extra hormones that cause all of these symptoms so they are fading but if you are worrying I would go and see your GP and ask if they can get you in for an early scan to stop you worrying for the next 6 or so weeks until your scan. If they won't, you could go private for an early scan to put your mind at rest.

Thanks so much for your reply jane, TMI alert but there was a pinkish colouring when I wiped after sex Thursday (first time I've felt well enough for sex since becoming pregnant!) This paired with easing off of symptoms has made midwife arrange an early scan. Didn't think I'd feel as nervous as I
I do0 -
When is the scan my lovely? Hope you don't have to wait til Monday! :-o Fingers crossed it will be ok. I had heavy bright red bleeding with little lady at 7 + 3 but thankfully all was ok. Hope it will be similar for you X0

dingdong, was it just that once with the red ? I would have thought if it was a one off it was alright. will keep fingers & toes crossed for you. Jane0
-
It's just the once after sex, and it was a little pink - no red and nothing since.
On the plus, I've been gagging over the toilet again today, so guess the morning sickness is back.
They don't perform weekend scans so she's getting in touch with me Monday, I guess for one day next week x0
