Lovely pic tink - so glad all is ok.

Don't blame you for having a private scan Gelly. Seems like different areas haven different rules about early scans.

Told my boss today (already told manager) and he already guessed so either I am showing quicker or have done something else to make him suspect ! He was really good about it anyway .

I'm 12 weeks today! Feel like I've hit a milestone. It's been the longest seven weeks of my life (as I found out around 5 weeks). Only five more days till we see our baby, I hope.

Well done angeltreats, congratulations and hope everything continues to go smoothly from now.

Super nervous now - scan is at 11.20 this morning. By my dates, I think I should be 6+5 today so we shall see. Still not feeling pregnant at all so am prepared for the worst. It seems like such a negative outlook but last time we went with a very positive blinkered outlook and were so disappointed so this time I want to be as prepared as I can be.

Have already got a plan on how to tell our parents later if it's good news but will keep a secret for now depending on how the scan goes.

Ooh thanks Wendz & Tink,

Not really good news unfortunately but it's possibly not bad news either.

I measured 5+4 when both the sonographer & I worked out I should be 6+5. There is a sac and a fetal pole but it's too small to be showing anything else yet.

Clearly I'm measuring earlier than I think I am so I have to go back again next Saturday for another scan (expensive!)- if there has been growth then it's good news and I might have got my dates wrong (unlikely as I've monitoring them for 18 months!), I might just be showing early and it needs to catch up or it might be another miscarriage.

So all in all, I don't really know what to think - the next 9-10 days are going to be torture!

I've read so many stories online about people who have had the same thing happen to them and gone back for a second scan and everything is fine but equally, there are some stories about miscarriages too.

At least we know there is only 1 in there - for me, it's a relief but my HB is a bit disappointed as he wanted twins this time - one shot and it's done, family complete!

It does however mean that we won't be sharing the news with our parents - it's my parents 38th wedding anniversary today and I wanted to share the news with them but it's just too iffy at the moment.

Thankfully it's a beautiful day out there and I plan to get out and enjoy it after work!

Sorry it wasn't what you wanted to see. Really hope for you that all is ok in 10 days. I have read a lot of stories about measurements being all over the place in the first few weeks.

Gelly I am sorry to hear that your scan has not given you any reassurance, I really hope that perhaps there is a mistake with dates/measurements and you get better news next week.

I had an awful nightmare last night where I had the scan and was told there was no heart beat. Woke up crying. Today have been getting stomach pains and noticed some discharge, not an unusual colour, so doubt it is anything but paranoia after that dream.

Hurray for reaching 12 weeks angel
