Been for scan, all fine but no nuchal test. I think there was some crossed wires but extra scan was lovely. Hopefully things will be fine at 12 week scan.

Mr k - glad the scan went well.

I have been eating smoked salmon whilst pregnant my mw said it was fine she advised me off the shell fish and fresh tuna as I don't eat meat only fish .

I am starting to feel the bulge in my belly now when I bend down the wrong way or if I lie on my front in bed, it feels like a grapefruit or something trapped in my belly. It's so weird.

Been to the triage nurse today to check about a cough I have, as you can't take over the counter cough medicine etc. We were chatting about the pregnancy and she asked if I was going to find out what it was, I said I didn't think so, and she was so excited about this and said it was a shame people usually find out these days as it's the biggest surprise you can ever have and it makes it so much more exciting. We had a good old natter and I think she's helped make up my mind that we're going to stay on team yellow

I had a scan today at the EPU as a follow up to one two weeks ago. Everything ok but still measuring 4 days behind. I guess it's not a problem since it's consistent with the previous scan? Saw the heartbeat but was a bit too dazed by it all to ask any questions!!

4w4d til 12 week scan. Time go quickly please!

I am lucky as a fussy eater none of the banned foods apply to me.

Angel I don't have enough patience to stay team yellow, its bad enough waiting for a scan!

Gelly my toilet habits have changed, agree with whoever said it is one of those side effects that is never talked about.

Unlike you tia86, I'm missing lots of food. Fancy some nice brie and baguette with a glass of wine. Ooh and pate. Mmm food...

First one-on-one midwife appointment coming up on Thursday, at 9 and a half weeks. Then she'll send off for a scan date for me, and I have to wait for it in the post ... trying to keep busy with other things, but totally fixated on the scan. She said it would be between 11weeks and 2 days and 14 weeks. We'll try and plan a visit to the folks when we have the date, fingers crossed.

My shiveriness has not appeared for a week now; I'm just on sore boobs, nausea and have a cold I can't take anything for.

Hello ladies,

What a lovely day!! Been for a nice long walk in the sunshine. Had a 99 which staved off the sickness for a bit.

Still feeling sick all the time but still not actually been sick. Continues to feel like a very bad white wine hangover!! I also have a bad cold which I was very disappointed to find out I could take nothing for- I've lost all sense of taste and smell which is very strange. It's never happened to me before! I really hope it reappears soon because it's quite strange only being able to feel the texture of food and not taste it.
