Hi skintchick
Thank you so much for asking after me - it's very kind.
We're not too bad actually - both feeling more realistic about things, we've done a lot of reading up on what it might or might not be - but still trying to be a little optimistic without getting our hopes too high!
We think it could possibly be a triplet missed miscarriage but trying to keep an open mind at the moment.
Have felt a bit rough today and not done a great deal but had a couple of hours snooze earlier as I desperately needed it.
Having said all this, HB has been looking up triple buggies and bigger houses and three names - one of which is Kylie having just watched The Voice - what is he like! :rotfl:
It's already brought us incredibly close and realise how much we want children but if it's not meant to be this time, we'll just try harder next time.
Hope you are all well and great news about the scans over the last couple of days - we're so happy for you all.
Gelly

Morning everyone
Gelly I hope you are feeling ok & taking things easy. When things didn't work out for us last time, I seen a new side to my oh that he managed to hide from me! They do like to surprise us lol! But I know what you mean about it bringing you closer together
My nhs scan is on Wednesday. I stil feel pregnant and have no reason too think something is wrong but once I get over this next scan I'm sure I will settle down a bit!
Enjoy your Sunday ladies x0 -
Purcy congratulations that's lovely news. Your the same stage as me, how exciting so far got the same date.
Gelly hope your ok and taking everyday as it comes. HB can really surprise us at times so I'm pleased he's being so good. I still have everything crossed for you xxx
Credit crunch good luck for Wednesday. How far along do you think you are?
This week all my symptoms have gone completely don't feel sick anymore, no sore boobs. Still not eating big meals and burping a lot so seeing little heartbeat Friday made me feel a lot better as sometimes don't feel pregnant at all.0 -
Just an fyi, if anyone still has any Dettol or Mum&Me vouchers from their Bounty packs, Sainsbury's is having a sale on both at the moment.
If you have the £1 off dettol surface cleanser spray voucher you can get it for free, as well as a 36 count pack of the dettol cleansing surface wipes for free with the £1 off voucher.0 -
Thanks Disney. By Wednesday I think I will be 10+2 by my dates & the early scan.
Will be interesting to see if the dates change at all0 -
Glad your scan went well purcy
I decided that I needed chocolate cake today, and managed to get myself to the shops just before closing time to get one! Last pregnancy I wanted fruit, veg and lemony stuff - this time it seems to be chips and chocolate...0 -
Congratulations on the good scan news Purcy

Any Name, Disney, that is great news about your scans! So pleased for you both.
FreshStart - how did your private scan go? I hope it went well?
Purcy, so thrilled your scan went well! Made me well up.
Bluebell, I hope your cold starts easing soon and you feel better.
credit_crunch, I understand those nerves completely. I had them before my scan on Friday, and I think I will continue to have them well beyond 12 weeks too.
Gelly, glad to hear you're both doing okay and that you're remaining cautiously optimistic. Please take things easy.
In good news, my check up scan on Friday went well. The consultant immediately found baby with a strong heart-beat and all looked good and healthy. Dated the baby at 7w 4d, so will be 8w tomorrow. :j The consultant has now discharged me from the EPAC, so I won't have another scan now (touch wood) until our 12 week scan. Just waiting for my booking appointment with the midwife on the 28th.Even nicer, the consultant gave me a copy of the scan for my husband (as he was unable to get away from work) - can't stop looking at our little one!

Glad your check-up went well Mrs_I.
My cold is better now, thanks! Very pleased that it didn't last too long, though it is a bit unfair that I felt ill all weekend and fine when I had to go back to work. DH is still suffering with full blown man-flu though.
Hoping that my immune system is working well as today I ate a piece of luke warm chicken that hadn't reheated properly and some old cake mix that had raw egg in, which had been sat around for several hours. The cake mix is my own fault, as DH said about making green icing, and I thought I'd try it while washing up the bowl. He hadn't said the cake mix was green too...
It's DS's 2nd birthday tomorrow (hence green dinosaur cake)! Unfortunately it's my day for staying late at work to do a course and get an extra qualification, so I won't be home until it's his bedtime. We'll do something nice at the weekend instead, though DS will have some of his presents tomorrow. If it's anything like Christmas it'll take him ages to open them, as they all have to be played with before he moves onto the next one.0 -
I've just booked in for a private scan tomorrow (I will be 8+1) just to check everything ok as I keep worrying incase its ectopic or something. I have paid the deposit and pay the rest when I arrive tomorrow evening but after i'd paid it said 'please bring your maternity notes with you'......... I dont have any maternity notes yet because i havent seen a midwife. They dont see people round here until they reach 9 weeks so my booking in appt is not until next wednesday, will this be a problem?0
