Looks like an early scan will cost £99, eek! But I think I am going to continue to torture myself otherwise.

Ah ok. I know the costs of early scans is shocking they do play on our insecurities . But I guess you can't put a price on peace of mind xx

Hi I am pregnant with my second am 6 +5 n have been bleeding since Sat started as light pink blood n barely anything then Sun was more brown n slightly more but again not loads needed panty liner but not a sanitary towel.

Saw gp Mon who has referred to epu n have appointment tomorrow

Monday n yesterday was more reddy brown n sorry for tmi but yesterday when wiping really thick n stringy.

Today barely anything n feel sick as anything surely good sign

I am remaining positive as had bleeding at 6wks with first although much less n stopped after 2 days. Have had no cramping n blood loss has been minimal nothing like my mega heavy painful periods n def haven't needed sanitary towel however is enough to be causing me some(ok lots) worry

I wonder if it's worth paying for a private early scan just to set my mind at rest that there's actually something in there. I no it would be no guarantee that it would still be in there at 12 weeks but at least I'd know I wasn't imagining it.

If it helps I had ivf and still dont believe it at 14 weeks! Despite numerous scans I still can't quite link that baby on the screen to my relatively symptomless body. Apart from the fatigue.... Never ending fatigue. I could sleep all day everyday.

Thanks ttc that's quick apparently!! Phoned community midwives on Sun n was told oh under 8wks see go ok then bye!! I did say hold up its Sun can I at least have some advice.

Been told it's positive not cramping n it's not heavy bleeding but tomorrow can't come quick enough

Just back from the MW waste of time that was basicially told that no early scans unless I am bleeding or cramping as early scans make no difference so they won't do them. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

So my mental health & well being can go to hell as they don't care until i reach the magic 12 weeks.........:mad::mad:

Tinkwings so sorry that you've not had positive mw experiences. Is there anything at all that you can do to get the treatment* that you want & need.

Are you able to go for a private scan to at least put your mind at rest or have you already had one? Can you go back to your gp and just tell them how much this is stressing you out and see if you can get anything resolved.

* Sorry so not the right word but can't think of another word.

Sorry read this and thought I'd lurk. I had a missed miscarriage found at 12 week scan but happened around ten. I was told that I would get an early scan automatically but I didn't. They said an early scan wouldn't alter the result which I didn't take well.

I didn't like the fact they said they would and then they didn't. Xx
