    Hello ladies

how is everyone doing? Hugs for having the most poorly organised gp lilmissmup hopefully they will pull their finger out soon and get everything sorted for you.

Congrats on the successful scans too x

Derby how are you doing now, hope everything is well?

Been a bit of a struggle this past week for me after 2 weeks off work its so horribly painfull being back there grrr.

I'm suffering terrible moments of anxiety at the mo even though I have no real reason to, still getting some cramps every so often but I've had those the whole way through, still being sick, b00bs still painful etc I suppose its only natural but I wish I could feel a bit more positive.

Unfortunately DH can't come to the 12 week scan as he has a work commitment he can't get out of however we're going to have a private scan over the next few weeks instead which hopefully will help me to feel less anxious

    hugs to all x
  • Hello! I'm 5+2, tested positive on Saturday but I had suspected for a couple of weeks, as I've been feeling sick and tired on and off since then.

I'm having a day off work today as I am feeling quite tired and shaky today. I had some quite sore cramps yesterday evening but I'm hoping that the fact they've eased off now is a good sign. I really need to get back in to work tomorrow though so hopefully a day resting (after a very busy weekend) will help.

Caffeine is causing me problems already so that's going to be interesting at work, as we always make drinks for everyone. I think I'm going to volunteer to make tea a lot, and sneak a decaff teabag in mine! I'll need to tell work quite soon, but will leave it a week or so.

DH is going to take me to the doctors this afternoon for my first appointment, so at least I can get the appointment done, and pick up some folic acid liquid, as I hate taking tablets. Last time, when I had DS, I saw the doctor, then midwife, who both wrote to the hospital asking for them to book me a 12 week scan. The hospital managed to lose both letters so it was a complete nightmare trying to get a scan booked in. I hope things run a bit more smoothly this time!

Hi Bluebelle and congratulations!!! When do you anticipate your due date to be?

Definitely get on the folic acid ASAP - am sure your MW will give you more information at your first appt.

Purcy - hope you are ok today and the anxiety isn't bothering you too much but I do totally understand.

    Hi ladies,

Hope you're ok Purcy-I completely understand the anxiety and I'm still trying to work out when I can actually relax about things!

I went for another private scan on Saturday as it would have been my miscarriage on the Friday and I wanted some reassurance of the loss of symptoms.

Baby looked very happy, measuring well and even gave us a little wave & kick. At one point it looked like she/he had hiccups!

So, for ladies that start to lose their symptoms at around nine weeks...be reassured!

Re: scan letters. My midwife called the department during my booking in appointment and got it arranged there and then. If only I could remember what entrance she told me to go through, and all would be good!

Hey Derby - that's great news - when is your EDD?

So glad you posted about the loss of symptoms....I'm 8 weeks today and other than tiredness and hunger, I have no symptoms at all. My bloating from about 10 days ago has pretty much gone although do still have tender nipples but apart from that, absolutely nothing to give away that I'm pregnant.

Can't wait for our scan on Thurs night - really keeping fingers crossed but so worried between now and then!

Can I ask Derby - can you feel anything at all? Has your belly gone hard, anything to suggest how far along you are?

    Hello Gelly,

    My EDD is 7/8/14 :-)

The only thing I notice now is occassional bloating in the evening, and very rarely a bit of queasiness. I try to convince myself my n!pples still hurt but I suspect that's from poking them.

I've not got a hard belly and nothing to see. It's odd because for the first few weeks I couldn't get in my skinny jeans but now I'm in them again!

The cost of the scan was worth every blinking penny (and I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried a little...!).
  • grrr would be Af due in next 2 days and today had cramps and oily skin and everything else i get with Af trying to keep calm but finding it really hard....9w by my dates/private scan

does anyone else still get this? x

Ah thank you Derby - that's very reassuring - so I guess you are -10 weeks now then.

I was struggling to get into my work trousers about 2 weeks ago but it's fine again now as the bloating has gone.

Thankfully no MS so far (touch wood) although have felt a tiny bit queasy a couple of times in the last week. Other than that, absolutely nothing to give the game away.

Glad you thought the cost of the scan was worth it - we deliberated about it but decided we just couldn't wait until 12 weeks.

Woohooo - roll on Thurs evening for the scan then.

Thanks ladies I know I'm just being silly I'm feeling a bit more positive today, oddly enough one of the reasons for this is that I was up until the small hours being sick! I'm off poorly from work this afternoon for that very reason. Luckily all my appointments were in the morning so I struggled through and then asked my boss if I could go home.

Hey fresh start, I know I'm one to talk about not worrying (see my previous post) but cramps have become a regular part of my day and I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so similar to you. Hugs for feeling worried though I know it sucks and it's such a pain and worry that pg symptoms and af symptoms are so similar. Just remember seeing your babies heartbeat on the scan is a really good sign that all is well x

    welcome bluebell x

    Yay for positive scan derby!

    Hugs to all

Due date 13th September, but as DS was 2 weeks early, I should think early September will be more likely!

My blood pressure is a bit high, so I've got to go back Thursday for another check. The folic acid is all sorted, though they made me have tablets instead of the liquid - bleurgh. Ah well it's an excuse to have chocolate spread when I'm having to crunch through a tablet.

Purcy, glad you have an understanding boss! I think I'm going to have to say something to my boss if I'm going to have an appointment midday Thursday, plus a midwife appointment soon too...
