I'm looking for a facial sunscreen for my holibobs, preferably SPF 30 or higher. Don't mind the price too much, came back from Dubai last time with a moustache  where my skin had darkened considerably and I don't want it to happen again!
Any recommendations, oh wise ones?!
Last year I used the Ultrasun facial one and will be repurchasing when I go away this year.littlepinkstars44 wrote: »Some IN's to declare! It was my birthday yesterday, and it seems that everyone bought me toiletries!!

Happy Belated Birthday. Some lovely gifts there.minerva_windsong wrote: »Agreed - I have lots of Benefit things but they were mostly presents. There isn't much I'd buy for myself from there other than the It's Potent! eye cream and maybe Hoola bronzer if I wore it enough. It is gorgeous packaging but there are better equivalent products out there for the money.
I've just sat and fast forwarded through a 2 hour presentation of Benefit on QVC and have to say that I think my love affair with them is over. It was so drab. The main product they were really pushing was Gimmee More Brow which to me looks the same as Brow Zings in one component without a set of tweezers. They always seem to be producing either a new concealer or highlighter. That said though I could not live without Lemon Aid and do love using Dallas still. Do like Dandelion too but have not replaced this. I think the appeal has gone due to the freebies on magazines too.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. One UU for me today. A mini size Molton Brown Ylang Ylang body wash. WNBA as the scent was too subtle really. It was pleasant enough but not long lasting and because it was so faint it wasn't really noticeable during use.
Can any of you ladies recommend a really effective eye make-up remover? Cost doesn't matter really, as long as it's good! I wear non-waterproof mascara and Urban Decay eyeliner most days, with eye shadow for evening. At the moment I use Simple Eye Make Up Remover, but it never seems to remove the last traces and I sometimes have the remains of the eye make up under my eyes the next morning, after cleansing once in the evening and then even after my morning shower.
Oooh I'm thinking of treating myself to a YSL mascara for my birthday on 14 Feb. We bought Emma the Babydoll one for Christmas and her lashes look fab when she's wearing it. I need a thin brush to apply mascaara though as I only have very short stumpy lashes. Any recommendations?
I'm using this Molten Brown shower gel and body lotion at the mo and agree with you that there's very little fragrance. Not a winner.
Lastly, I really like the L'Oreal eye make up remover.Clutterfree wrote: »Hello All,
3 OUTs today and 1 was from my PP - the last PP item so I've completed January's list! :T

Have now caught up with thread. Welcome newbies and happy holidays to those lucky devils off to enjoy some sunshine.
So, yes my PP list is no more. This morning I saw the end of the Mark Hill Straightening Spray that was a real LHJ and I WNBA. I have one more in my stash though ....
So my new PP list :-
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cleanser
TBS Seaweed Toner
Vaseline hand cream
TBS Cranberry Joy hand cream
LE Orange Flower hand wash
L'Occitane Verbena body scrub
Molten Brown Ylang Ylang shower gel
Molten Brown Ylang Ylang body lotion
NSPA BB Cream
Elemis Neck and Bust Cream
I'm quite confident that the first two items will be gone by the end of this week giving me 8 products to have a go at in Feb.
Have repainted my nails and am wearing OPI You Don't Know Jacques. Had quite a disaster with my nails last night due to my top coat becoming really gloopy. Have put loads of Nail Polish Thinner in it and tonight it's working well.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Happy birthday littlepinkstars!
 :j :T
Misty blue - I have the same bugbear as you! Tbh the only routine that works for me is to remove my eye make up with a micellar water (Bioderma, Nuxe or Body Shop Camomile), then do a double cleanse. I usually use Dermalogica Precleanse followed by Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser (both used in eye area too). With this combo all eye and face make up is removed and I never get the panda eyes/stained muslin the next day.
:j No purchased INs this month so far and feeling happy that I'm sticking to my challenge! Was quite hard persisting when I smelt Philosophy Raspberry Glazed in Boots this week (gorgeous like a raspberry Krispy Kreme scent!) and saw the full size L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream in Costco for £12.99!
1 non bought in - I won a blog giveaway for a Wet Brush! Happy days :j0 -
Some UU for me:
Ren glycolactic face mask - have another sample size to use but WMBA as it seemed to brighten my skin.
Elemis exotic moisture mask - WMBA if I ever run out of samples - I have combination skin so rarely use moisture masks but my skin was feeling a little tight following the ren mask (and it was a liquid gold night) so decided to use this.
5ml indeed labs hydraluron - WBA I wasnt expecting much from this but my skin felt super refreshed. Have a full size in my stash to use next (tis on offer in Boots for anyone who uses it - third off).
100ml nspa coconut shower gel - WNBA was OK but fragrance didnt last.
4 Avon Christmas bath fizzers - DD thought they were to be added all at once - to be fair these were rubbish and even all four only gave the water a purple tinge - its safe to say WNBA hopefully we wont get gifted them either.
Sachet santaverde eye cream - WNBA this stank - I checked pack to find it expired last year!
I use Garnier 2 in 1 eye make up remover - dont know whether it works on waterproof mascara (I use a tubing one) but it does work on Urban decay 24/7. The Lancome bifacial is effective too but doesnt justify the £20 price tag.No more buying toiletries0 -
Have 5 UU to report and have a couple of splutterers on the go so fingers crossed for a few more before the end of January!
Neutrogena Clean Shampoo 30ml - this was a little bottle from a hotel stay many many years ago. I don't even know if you can still buy this! I probably WBA as I used it once a month for a deep clean and to have a bit of a change from my regular shampoo. Left my hair squeaky clean but might be a bit much for everyday use.
Timotei Brilliant Repair Shampoo 250ml - WDBA as I love this shampoo but cannot find it in regular shops so I do stock up when I find it.
Timotei Vivid Colour Shampoo 250ml - WDBA as an alternative to the above.
Palmolive Milk and Honey Conditioner 300ml - WNBA as I found it quite heavy to rinse out (I have very fine hair) alas I have another bottle of this in the stockpile to use!
M&S Gardenia Rose Handcream - WBA but I have loads of other handcreams to use. This one was very rich but not greasy and love love love the smell of rose!
I've managed to resist any new purchases so far, but was sorely tempted by the Clarins sale...0 -

I keep hovering over the add to basket button!
I think I'll probably succumb by the end of the week if I'm totally honest.
Only used the cleanser and serum once (this morning), the cleanser is lovely, smells very delicate and was gorgeous to use, not runny, but a softer texture than EH. Serum felt - well like a serum, too soon to say more. I will report back in a couple of days.
Still doing the half face thing with the Pixie Glow and the Clarins Exfoliating toner, I had a peer in the magnifying mirror yesterday, couldn't see any difference, but will reserve judgment until at least a week has passed.
Eye Makeup remover - I got Gatineau Floracil and the Lancome one both as part of sets, I find them both excellent for waterproof mascara and cream/gel eye liner removal. I have very sensitive skin and eyes, so tend not to experiment too much, although it would be nice to find something less expensive and ideally animal friendly.

The YSL Faux Cil is my all time favourite mascara, but I have not bought one for ages and cannot remember the brush:oThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I really was spoiled this year but am looking forward to using all these lovely presents
And one UU to kind of balance the scales...lol!
Lush Snowman bath bomb
Nothing special about it really, gave the bath a nice scent and colour....and my skin did feel quite nice when I stepped out the bath.
Can't buy again as it's only a Christmas product, but still have another one in the stash to use.
I have a few things that I might just manage to finish this week, my Clinique DD moisturiser....I have another one in the stash waiting to be opened that I got for Christmas. As well as S&G Butter Yourself and Miss Dior perfume, going to really try and use them a lot this week and get them gone!0 -

I get the impression that Clarins and Pixi are pretty similar so I'm not sure if you would see a difference. I never used toner before Pixi so I suppose that is why I liked it.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.
