I used to like the Sanctuary Kyphi range too, but unfortunately I think it's been discontinued now. :(

No more use ups for me as yet, but I painted my nails on Sunday with Lilypad Lacquer Berry Beautiful. It's chipped today though so I will repaint later with another of my untrieds. :)

It has  ...but my lovely mister tracked some down for me as a gift last year. I think he rang The Sanctuary actual. Yay mister! :T

INs and OUTs to report...after the post office...

  • 3 UU:

Elvive Extraordinary Oil - WBA Had loads of uses and didn't make my hair look oily
Avene Rich Recovery Cream - WBA I absolutely loved this! I have so many other moisturisers to get through but it's really tempting to get another one.
Lush Twilight Shower Gel - WNBA The smell was really nice, but I used this as a bubble bath rather than a shower gel as I have more baths than showers so am always running out of bubble bath and drowning in shower gel!

It's probably time to declare my xmas IN's too.

    Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo
5 x Montagne Jeunesse face mask sachets
    Lush Dream Cream
    Lush Sandy Santa Body Butter
    Lush FUN
Lush The Olive Branch Shower Gel
    Lush Orange Jelly Soap
    Lush Celebrate Body Lotion
    Fenjal Bath Oil
    Badedas Shower Gel
Lacura Multi Intensive Serum - Aqua

All of these were xmas pressies apart from the Lacura serum, but there's no Aldi near my so I had to take advantage while I was back home for xmas!
    No more goo hoarding!

    Good morning ladies.

just had a throw out of out of date food (how old?????)and went on to get rid of some make up that whilst not out of date had been around a year and I never use so bit the bullet and out went black eyeliner that does not suit me,make up fix used only once(but was a freebie so not too bothered)powder bronzer and other bits and pieces now nice tiny draw and still a cupboard full of nice new make up to bring out when I get round to it.determined not to buy anything new this year that already exists in the stash.
next month is frugal feb so planning to cut all spends to a minimum.
on a different note I bought some Seasalt clothes and was not pleased to have to pay £3.95 postage then another £5.20 to send stuff that did not fit back and THEN to get an email offering free p&p a week later :(
also thought I was buying British as they make a thing of Cornish design only to read on the label made in china!!!

Ring them, tell them all of this...and see what they offer ;)

  • Ah thanks for that! How odd.. Worth thinking about I guess, although if you fail to take it off properly you risk smelling "sour" all day _pale_

I got a spa voucher for my birthday (Hot stone massage and facial) in October so I headed into the Big Town today to use it up - (does this count as a UU??)

The whole experience was lovely, though I wouldn't spend that much on myself in one go!

Anyway I wandered off for a browse afterwards and accumulated several INs. So much for "I'm going to use everything up" from yesterday!!!

I stopped at TBS (I had a voucher for 40% off) and picked up a muslin face cloth. IN number 1.. £1.50

I then went into B*ots. I had been coveting those Sanctuary Top to Toe glow boxes that had been out all over Xmas- the £40 ones. And I had resisted. I told myself I didn't need it. Even when they were "less than half price" I walked away. I certainly wasn't expecting it to still be sitting there in the 70% off sale. And I was right, it wasn't! Whew!

I then wandered up to the clearance bit. And there was a box sitting there. The metal tin was a bit bashed up, and on the side read "£5". "That can't be right", I told myself, and looked inside as I was sure that most of the items would be missing. Well nope, they were all there. So I picked it up and thought, I'll buy it if it's a fiver, as the body wash on it's own is £5.50. If not they can keep it!

And I got to the till and asked the nice lady if it really was a fiver. And she scanned it and said "no". As I was about to say I didn't want it she said... "It's 70% off £5.00, making it £1.50" And laughed at me!

I paid 150 boots points for the following....

    Sanctuary headband thing
    Sanctuary shower puff
    Sanctuary foot file
    Sanctuary Body Wash 250 ml
    Sanctuary Body lotion 250 ml
Sanctuary Fresh-faced Purifying Wash 140 ml
    Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator 100 ml
Sanctuary Pumice Foot Scrub 50 ml
Sanctuary Moisture Rich Foot Butter 50ml

So another 9 INs. Well.. it would have been rude not to!! It has increased my stash somewhat though :o And I didn't pay any actual money for it either!

So I wandered off to Hotel Chocolat - my friend loves that stuff and I wanted to pick up some of those baton things for her as she's feeling a bit down at the moment. And the assistant hands me a perfume sample thing. Since when do Hotel Chocolat do toiletries? Fail! IN no 11.

So, £1.50 and 150 Boots points later, I have a haul of 11 INS!! Some of which are full size/accessories. Oh dear! Naughty step here I come.

    Very very impressive! :cool2:

thought I,d mention this in case anyone out there has had problems like me.Spent ages trying to process an order to a local firm but kept having problems including my basket emptying just as I was about to pay.The lovely lady called me after I emailed a complaint and said it could be the browser I was using(er what,s a browser I asked?!!!)seems I was using internet explorer and that could be what was causing the problems....sure enough switched to firefox(had it there but need to think to use it) and problems all gone. Also did a Marks shop today and same thing, could not get to the final checkout but no problems on firefox so worth trying if you have problems(mind you could be a cunning ploy by DH to stop me spending!!!)

I'm looking for a facial sunscreen for my holibobs, preferably SPF 30 or higher. Don't mind the price too much, came back from Dubai last time with a moustache  where my skin had darkened considerably and I don't want it to happen again!

    Any recommendations, oh wise ones?!

  • I don't get the Benefit love either. I think it's the packaging that does it. Sort of like when TooFaced did the palettes to look like cheezy romance novels from the 1950s. Very pretty to look at but the products aren't always the best. The Balm has some very pretty retro packaging but I've been strong.

Agreed - I have lots of Benefit things but they were mostly presents. There isn't much I'd buy for myself from there other than the It's Potent! eye cream and maybe Hoola bronzer if I wore it enough. It is gorgeous packaging but there are better equivalent products out there for the money.

Depending on where you're going and your skin tone, I would highly recommend Soltan Once SPF30, it's my go-to summer moisturiser, sinks in instantly and does such a lot for my skin that I often don't need even primer  Plus it stays on for up to 8 hours.

If you're going somewhere with a stronger sun than here and you can reapply every couple of hours, the normal spf 50 or 50+ is very good too, I use the once as it's under make-up and I don't go outside the UK.
