No buying unnecessary toiletries in January 2014

I've sorted most of my 'loose' items into 4 plastic drawers on a like for like basis. An awful lot of my stash is in gift sets from last years Boots sale. They would take up less room if I actually unpacked them but I am hoping to give quite a few as gifts, plus want to use the 'loose' items as much as possible before I break into any gift sets. Even though I have included all the items in the gift sets in my stash list, I think I will also write a list for myself of which gift sets I have and what is in them. That way I can have a quick look on the list when there is a birthday coming up, rather than digging through the boxes every time.

It's one of my friend's birthdays on Tuesday. I did have a Sanctuary gift set earmarked for her but when I was there yesterday I saw she has a massive Sanctuary gift box, so I will have another look. The problem with buying so much from the same ranges, and sometimes multiples of the same gift sets, is that there is a danger of giving someone the same or a very similar present as last year!

Jeunesse anti stress Mud Pac 20g - This is supposed to be a single use sachet, but when I've used them before I've ended up with loads left over and drying up in the pack and having to throw away. This time, on opening it last week I decanted it into one of my empties (from previous UUs) and I've got 2 uses out of it! :money:

Are you supposed to lay it on REALLY thick, do I have an exceptionally small face (unlikely!!) or are these sachets made so that folk waste the product? It makes no sense!!!

Either way probably WNBA as I have other sachets and pots of face masks in the stash and this one was quite drying, I think it's probably designed for more oilier skin.

I'm currently trying to stop smoking and I keep trying to find distractions to see me through the hard bits. Thought I could kill two birds with one stone and find some beautifying to do when the cravings hit. I can't very well nip and buy a pack of cigarettes with a face pack on my face can I? Well.. I suppose I could but.. :rotfl::rotfl:

Given my other go to option for keeping busy when I want to smoke is cleaning.. :whistle:

I had another failure today with 2 more imperial leather fruity flavour shower gels - grapefruit and mango. With enough shower gel in my stash to wash most of the UK for a week these were not needed.
I am annoyed with myself as I wanted to use 10 shower gels and body lotions before anymore purchases in this area - but back on the horse so to speak.

Etat pur purifying face mask - WNBA not a favourite.

You're not alone, I find there's loads of extra product in each sachet too. That's partly why I never open the sachets - by the time I get around to using the left overs they're dried out! :rotfl:

Even a 1.5ml sachet of face cream does my whole face three times.

Morning ladies, welcome to the newbies!

I have a UU:

7. TBS Morroccan Rose body butter 200ml - WMBA if on decent sale, though think it may have been discontinued. Loved the scent and it moisturised well but did leave me feeling a bit stickier than other butters do.

I've been keeping up to date with the thread but not had anything to report - plenty of PP splutterers though (including my now-hated Clinique DD lotion, which is now standing upside down :j) so I'm optimistic of plenty of outs soon. However, I have the hurdle of Wednesday and the likely Mr B sale to overcome first...

wow some huge lists on here.

i got my stash out and started going through it over the weekend, i found a list i worte in 2010 and honestly dont think ive made much of an impact on it in all this time i seem to have new stuff added faster than i use up. its not really me buying its seems to be mostly wins and gifts. the 24 different bottles of perfume is all DH fault! LOL
i did throw away a cheap looking eye shadow compact containing a pink and lilac powder shadow (thought they looked more suited to an 80's teenager than someone over 50!) it was so old i couldnt CS it so i binned it
used up a lush rub a dub dub shower exfoliater WUA but not buying more at mo as i have loads of other types of this product
UU a tub of sanctuary body butter WUA but not buying more at mo as i have loads more of this product.

Smarter - good luck with giving up smoking.

I agree that the face masks have too much product in them but if they only had half as much in they would have to charge half the price or not sell any and they wouldn't want that would they? It's the same with mascara and eye cream for me they should both be half their size and half the price.

Dove Dry Shampoo - WBA. Dry shampoo as a whole is a HG for me, and this was very nice.

Almond Oil - WBA. I used this in a mixture with other stuff for oil cleansing. I've got other oils to use and others I want to try, but unless I find anything better I would definitely repurchase this. Feels nice, and cheap and easy to find.

The Body Shop Honey & Beeswax Hand & Foot Butter - WMBA. Very nice to use, I just always find I flit around with body and creams.
