I've got benefit on the brain after reading earlier posts!!! It's the clinique stuff, not benefit! The one they let you swap an old mascara for every so often? I'll keep my eyes peeled for another swap.

Hello my loves!

I just wanted to say thank you again for the messages and support regarding my one year challenge... I am sorry I haven't been replying individually, I am just having possibly the busiest month ever being out of the house at 6am and returning at 9pm 6 days a week
I love how the thread is so busy though, I've been catching up today... loving the pics and stash lists

So my update, no purchases as planned... a couple of moments when I felt very tempted by a set of 10 mini Molton Brown shower gels... and then in Boots I saw a set of 5 Boots Extracts body butters reduced from £10 to £5 (this was not from the Christmas line but the regular line, and it had Bergamot and a few other scents I haven't tried).

I just reminded myself that I already have enough stuff to use. I actually felt relief in thinking of the challenge and that I couldn't buy these things. It's tiring feeling guilty. In the past I'd just tell myself to not by another thing until I finished my stash but it was open ended and difficult to commit to in the heat of a good deal or something I wanted. I was also thinking how something that is so wanted, after purchasing can quickly turn into something that is unwanted/needing to be finished. I just thought to myself - if I buy the mini shower gels I will break my challenge and it will soon enough just join the list of other things I need to use up.

So no INs! Hurrah!

A few UU:
1. Taaj Micellar Water 100ml - WMBA, nice enough but good old Body Shop Camomile is just as good
2. Nivea Soft 100ml - WMBA, this was just lying around at my mums so decided to finish it off
3. Carex Handwash Cola Bottles - WBA, loved the smell of cola bottles! This was left over at my mums from when we had my brother and his kiddies to stay, and were teaching my niece about hand washing. Made me think why we buy the expensive stuff!
4. Nuxe Samples x 7 assorted - reve de miel face cream has gone onto my wishlist as it was just lovely, the other sachets were eye cream and body oils wmba

Now off to update my stash list!

Hello everyone,

I've been avidly following this post for the past few days and would like to join in too.

Yesterday, I had a slip. Visited boots as needed nail polish remover. Ended up buying some sanctuary and champ nets bits in the sale (even though I know they are going to 75% off next week!) then got the no.7 voucher so had to use it - bought two lipsticks (buy one get one half price) and a hot cloth cleanser. Paid, got another voucher and was very tempted to use it - had to run out the shop.
Does anyone else's heart rate increase as soon as they step into boots/body shop/lush?

So, I'm starting from today. I'm in the middle of counting my stash and recording it on a spreadsheet. Will update with numbers when I've finished (hopefully tomorrow)

I'm glad I'm not the only one out there! My biggest weakness is sakes/offers/free gifts. But I'm going to Ibiza and New York this year so need to save money. Think I can get to June without buying anything - with your support :-)

Same! We have a two week big family holiday in Devon and a week in Dubai (just DH and me) to fund so I am trying to be good. Even still, I was amazed when I took DD to the big Boots to buy hair dye and I came out with NOTHING! Nada, zilch. I am going away a few times this year and need to save but try telling me that. I have ordered some stuff and will get fined £5 per item (which will be put away for holidays), I am hoping that fining myself may slow me down my need to buy. Not really having a good week which is probably the main reason for buying and the other is offers, I still can't resist a bargain and this is what I need to stop.

Star bright star light bath melt WMBA this reminded me of the lemon and honey cough sweets.

Shoot for the stars bath ballistic WDBA loved this one, so beautiful in the bath took about 15 minutes to fully disolve.

Christmas Eve bubble bar WBA I always pick up a couple of these, they always have a strong scent.

Scarcrow whipped soap WBA but in different scent, great for shaving legs.

Sandy Santa WBA I really liked this years version, last well and are scrubby eough.

S&G clean on me 500ml WNBA this has been my bathroom cleaner and handwashing liquid for a few months, glad its finally finished, does a great job of cleaning.

hermatage hill soap WNBA lovely scent but really coloured finally put the last piece forwards to make laundry gloop. Life is too short to have to wash the sink everytime you use it.

Dust witch soap WBA such a beautiful soap really creamy and smells of freshly picked rhubarb. Have another one in stash.
