No buying unnecessary toiletries in January 2014

OK so I mentioned I went a bit mad over the Organic Surge sale because everything was £3 each and free delivery!

Well the parcels arrived. I've only tried their body lotion before and liked it so I thought I'd try a bit of everything.......I have 20 INs!

3 x Sweet Blossom Shower gel

2 x Citrus Mint Shower gel - this smells really strong, not sure I will like it! It smells like Original Source Mint Shower gel which I once tried and stung my erm..... intimate areas

2 x Tropical Bergamot Shower gel
2 x Lavender Meadow Shower gel
2 x Tropical Bergamot Body Lotion
2 x Lavender Meadow Body Lotion
2 x Tropical Bergamot Hand Cream
2 x Lavender Meadow Hand Cream
Moisture Boost Shampoo
Moisture Boost Conditioner
2-Minute Moisture Mask for Hair

On the plus side I don't need to buy any shower gels for a loooooong time! Hopefully that will stop me wandering into Boots or Superdrug and buying loads of stuff or ordering pricey Liz Earle shower gels.

3 OUTs today - 1 from PP, 1 UU and 1 repurposed.

SBC Collagen gel 500ml - WNBA, as I've still got 1.5 litres of the stuff to use :eek: (inherited from step-mum). This seemed to go on forever so I'm happy I can use a different body lotion.

Olay Regenerist wrinkle relaxing complex 7ml free sample - WNBA, very siliconey in texture and it broke me out. I have lots of spots underneath my nose and this is the only new product I've used so I think it is down to this.

Molton Brown exfoliating oatmeal and milk cleanse bar 50g - repurposed this and put it in the family bathroom as a soap as it is not grainy enough for a scrub. This was a gift, so 3 more to use up... One is on my PP list so fingers crossed that will be used up soon.

My stash list is pretty much done now (see post 340). The only major omission is my nail varnish collection which I just can't find at the moment -I think the list is long enough though!


I most definitely do NOT need shower gel, bubble bath, body lotion, hand cream, body scrub or any make up for a ridiculously long time. I don't have huge stashes of cleansers or moisturisers but don't need anything for a while and am going to try to only buy any when whatever I have really is on its last legs. I'm presently using bubble bath as hand wash and will try to find another shower gel or bubble bath when that runs out, and therefore shouldn't need hand wash for a long time either. I don't want to use my 'best' shower gels as hand wash but think I can find enough other products to repurpose. I don't have many hair products (relatively speaking!) but again will try to go as long as possible before I buy any more.

I've been using my best shower gels as hand wash and really enjoying it. When I use them as shower gel I feel they are on your skin seconds and then they are gone. But when I used them as hand wash I kept getting a whiff of the scent every time I moved my hand.

Talking of shower gel I have another UU.
M&S Cherry Blossom shower milk - WNBA. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just really boring.

150ml Elemis Pro-radiance cream cleanser. WBA, 1 left in stash.
5ml REN Smooth & Renew Mask. WBA gentle enough for my sensitive skin, but have an Elemis Rose Gentle Exfoliant Mask next.
4.9ml Guinot Creme Extra Protection MBA, my beauty salon before house move used Guinot and I have a couple of others this size to use. I think it compares with the Elemis SOS

Painted nails Jessica Guilty Pleasures - rich full covering cream in chocolate with a pink hue. (useless at colour descriptions)
