The trip advisor for the hotel is very good.
Haven't got around to seeing if hotel has a website I will in a bit.
Been taking it easy as no DGD again, her Mum cleaned up. So she's with them. Taken a friend to get the bus for a flight, home via a shop at Mr T, to get the odds and ends of things to pack for the holiday. Must be time for lunch now!
Still lovely and hot here. The town has a beer festival on, I may go and have a wander down and see what it's all about. No need to drive again today, or till tomorrow tea time after all.

Most expensive holiday I have ever had! But I worked hard enough to pay for it. X

Morning all. I didn't sleep too well. Probably a mixture of the heat, and being home alone. Always did hate being home when the kids were away over night. Seems I'm the same with DGD away.
The holiday is really just around the corner now, and even I am getting excited now.
I have done a trial pack, but think I need to trim it, weight restrictions and all that. So I will get the scales out and see next.
I have a few enquiries about thermal bags again, hopefully they will turn into orders.
Time to get on, I have so much to do I better get started.

Dress alteration that was urgent has been done. Took about two hours.
Three confirmed orders for Thermal Bags, one from stock, luckily, and one off to Canada when I get back from holidays. The other will be started at least before I go, hopefully completed, if I don't get any more un scheduled jobs. Although I am still running behind on some makes:(,
Have stopped for my dinner, then I will get back to the workroom and see if I can get a bit more done today before I collect DGD.

Another skirt now made from a pair of jeans for one of my regular customers. Tick.
And another cup of tea for me to keep me going. But it's nearly time for me to get DGD.
My suitcases are still within the weight limits, so that's a relief. Still have a lot of little bits to pack. Mostly first aid and toiletries.

By the time I had collected DGD, cooked dinner, watered the garden, and the like I didn't get back into the sewing room. Had a message this morning from the dentist. We have an appointment tomorrow, so that's one I forgot! Takes about two hours out if my day as it's not a very local one. All I needed. I must get more organised!

Well I got through work but it was with little enthusiasm. I spent the day catching up on repair works for the lady in the shop. There is much talk about the new shop, and a purpose built sewing room fitted out for me. But I am still working in the theory that it's time for me to push for my own business and not someone else's. I chatted with my friend who works there, and she thinks that it's my turn to build my dreams for myself.
Perhaps I'm best to go now, before I end up roped in to all the new changes and get sucked in to staying. We are of a certain age that reaching for our dreams will be lost if we wait too long.

morning, at a far too early morning when I was hoping for a sleep in until about 8am due to lack of sleep lately! Nope I was still awake several times in the night and have been awake over half an hour now.
I have been paid for another alteration, and a thermal bag that I posted out yesterday. I have two bags to make on my return from holiday. I contacted all my other jobs, discussed what's finished and can be collected etc before I go tomorrow.
This morning we have the dentist, and last night DGD cost me another £ from the tooth fairy.!
So we are down to one more sleep. Then 10 days of R & R.
Not looking forward to the logistics of making our way there but am looking forward to the break.
dGD wanted to know what was going to happen to the garden. Erm..... Probably loose it all, as I don't have anyone near enough to call on to water the garden that has a key. Made me realise DS's ex girlfriend didn't give me the key back last year. Even if I asked DS to come home to do it, I doubt it would happen.
I have to go and cut my Dads lawn and read the meter for him today, between dentist and back massage. Mine has slowed right down being so dry lately so hopefully I can manage without doing it.
It's finish off what's lurking in the fridge, cut up and freeze what I can etc, and clean the house, change the beds type of 24 hours along with what ever else life throws at me.
Twin 2 wants her DLA that's in the bank today, so I've sent that. Her housing benefit has been sorted finally, although her birth certificate posted 1st class last Thursday still hasn't arrived.
DS ran out of money for petrol to get to work so the bank of Mum ended up forking out a tank full.
Twin1, has her BF here so he is paying her shortfall while he is here.
Not heard from Biggest since Wednesday, hope she remembers I'm not having DGD2 tomorrow!
My parents are having a good break in France, still parked at my brothers, but the weather is better here then there.
Time for a cuppa. It's usually what I do first thing in the day but was busy on here so hadn't. No wonder I'm still feeling achy and stiff, no lubricant!
