SNAP! It's not a bank holiday in Scotland. The banks are on holiday here but the bossman says (in a really smug, nippy voice) "It's an English bank holiday." Our banks are governed by Bank of England so they get the English holidays. We (work) get the Scottish bank holidays.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

It is a bank holiday in NI but we don't get this day. It was so quiet today. Very few client calls and loads of businesses closed. OH is nearly better and is going back to work tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'm in dublin so he'll travel in by bus. Hopefully it won't be too uncomfortable.
Today I am grateful for

Today I got up late, wasn't on the road til seven. Made good time to dublin to find the client had forgotten the meeting. Meant I was there a lot longer than anticipated but it couldn't be helped.

The plan for today is to go to the office for a few hours on my non working day. Then OH and I are off on a boat trip courtesy of a living social voucher purchased ages ago. Wasn't sure he'd be up to it but he insists he is. There's a drive of about 50 miles each way but I love getting out onto the sea so well worth it. The downside is I checked the courier website and my handbag is out for delivery today so it's most likely that I will miss that. Fingers crossed I'll be able to collect if they don't leave it with a neighbour.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Can anyone remember how my cheap hotel break played out? Today was reminiscent of that. Two hours on the sea followed by the 50 mile drive home while every item of clothing bar my bra was soaked through. No seal or dolphin sightings. However, we still had a giggle and saved some money as neither of us could face eating out while we dripped. Got home to find my bag waiting. I'm not sure if it's love or lust but it's something. Today I am grateful for
