Today I'm going back to work. I took my non working day yesterday as dd had an MRI scan on her leg. It was quite a nice day and so we just pockled round shops and went for a walk in the park and a play on the swings! It was such a mood lifter I'm thinking of buying a swing suitable for adults for the back garden. However, it won't be sourced on ebay where a search for adult swings brings up a completely different breed of animal!
The funeral service went ok, I did my reading without stumbling and didn't fall on journey to or from the altar. Also, apparently dd was the only one who heard my oh fook expletive when I realised I was on earlier than expected. I managed not to tell my selfish cow sister what I thought of her. The whole thing had to be rearranged to accommodate her non beliefs. I also steered clear of the trouble between my mother and two of my siblings and hope that my poor sister in law realised that when upset, my mother just lashes out but it's not personal. My entire team and some others from the office turned out along with a former colleague for which I am grateful and the church was packed to overflowing.
To other matters now, my tendency when upset is to spend. I have identified things that would be purchased anyway and am going to focus on sourcing these. Fingers crossed that will keep things in check. I also need to log into my bank and update my mortgage figure but that can wait.
Today I am grateful for
