I know, it just puts everything into perspective doesn't it. Sorry to hear that things have been a bit !!!!!! at work recently, hoping it gets better soon.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Today I totally miscalculated when using a voucher and ended up £20 down as I misread the price on some detergent and bought two. On the plus side, I went on the sainsbugs voucher site and have downloaded extra points vouchers so next shop should net me £9 off plus and extra £9 in points. I did some shopping for my mum, picked up two click and collects bought via tcb and have made a monster pot of stew for tomorrow. Also had dinner from the freezer. All stew ingredients were either on offer or whoopsied bar the lea & perrins, etc. another LBM today when I decided I would just brown the meat and make the stew tomorrow. Felt fine after doing that so peeled and chopped the kilo of carrots, the kilo of onions and the 2.5 kilos of potatoes. Clearly I need to break things down into manageable tasks and remove time pressures where possible. Today I am grateful for

Today I am grateful that over the past two weeks, I have lost 1lb. I'm now at 14 stone 2lbs and want to start the new year in the 13s. Today I want to try out a new to me recipe for French onion soup. There is also some cheese in the freezer to be used so I'll do croutons for the full experience but not for me. I just like soup. I also need to restructure the freezer as I'm sure there is room there, it's just not obvious due to the ministrations of others. One load of laundry to get done and that's it totally up to date with OH minus any excuses not to kondo!
Anyhow, I also need to op £14 worth of vouchers and withdraw spends for this week. It was touch and go making it through last week but I did it with a few pounds left in my purse.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I hope so beanie. Well, I didn't like the soup but the others did. I didn't cross the door today but used up some earned vouchers to buy a new moisturiser from the giant people who were also cheaper than my usual stockists. Apart from that, only other financial transaction was an £18 transfer to the mortgage for some vouchers that I have used.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Monday again and so can't be bothered with work. Still can't make OH late just cos of my apathy. Am back on the porridge for breakfast which tends to reduce snacking pre lunch. I will also hit the water hard. This evening we are off to see Paul Weller and I truly can't be bothered with the fight through the traffic to get home to go back but at least dinner is sorted. I'm sure I'll be grand once I get to the concert provided I don't nod off.

You've just reminded me that I've got loads of porridge in the cupboard, I need to get it going again as well. :T

Concert was ok but not enough of the older stuff. Managed another porridge day but sinned and had some chocolate thought I did share with my right hand man in the office. He's more of a chocoholic than most females I know. Dinner this evening came from the chippy as that's what I really wanted.
Have a bit of an issue at the minute. The sister I am least fond of has been suffering with unexplained weakness in her arms and legs for the past five weeks or so. She has also been falling but apparently landing on her bum with never any damage to her back and no bruising. To be blunt, I thought it was pure attention seeking as she has previously allegedly been an alcoholic but could control this to manipulate others and never suffered any liver damage, etc.
she has now been admitted to hospital for tests and options being floated are MS, a tumour, nerve damage, etc. My mum expects me to visit but I struggle to engage with her at all. If she's still in tomorrow afternoon, I will go with another sister who will hopefully carry the conversation. I don't ill wish her but feel like such a cow for assuming she was faking it.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. don't feel a cow please. She doesn't know and you haven't told anyone.
It is hard when you see your sister one way and others see her differently
Years of knowing, living and experiencing a person never goes away you know. I am sure you know what she is made of.
you and your sister will be in my prayers. XXXXNevertheless she persisted.0
