Well done on the weight loss. How are you doing it? Sorry you've probably said many times I'm doing the 5:2 and it's good over the long term but the loss now is mostly non existent now more keeping about the same. I hope

  • While on holiday I realised that I sometimes eat stuff from habit that I really get nothing from and don't enjoy. I also realised that I eat far too much bread. I've switched to porridge with cinnamon for weekday breakfasts, reduced grazing and high sugar snacking and stop eating just to clear a plate. I'm also trying to be marginally more active. Just things like opting for a more distant parking space, etc. it means nothing is forbidden so doesn't because an obsession.

I also read a website today that pointed out that there are 8 weeks to the new year and why not use those weeks to set yourself up to delivering on new year resolutions. Fingers crossed that I can do that.

Brilliant post INoD. All power to your elbow and please send me some. I too realized bread not a good idea but since the weather changed I've been eating it again. I find I just about stay the same/ lose 1or 2 kg pa(!) on the 5:2. But my GP is ecstatic with this so who am I to want more.....
Today I will take the lift less. Thanks

  • Hi V. This weekend I'm going to map out the 8 week thing. I'll see if I can PM it to you. 8 weeks is nothing and it'd be good to start ny on a high as opposed to with a mountain to climb.
Yesterday was a dublin day. Very early start but little to show for it. I did fill with diesel so made a saving. Pound is currently strong against euro which is good for my pocket but as my work targets are in sterling, I have to do more to meet them. Not great!
Today will be manic but I've time allocated to various tasks and am determined to stick to it. I've a review meeting with our two senior partners plus have my first counselling session. Fun and games. Wish me luck

Today I am grateful for a positive horoscope

  • well, talk about a backslide. first off one of the partners was unwell. genuinely unwell as he is never sick! then the counselling which wasn't. i wasz greeted with an apology from a psychiatric nurse who doesnt do counselling but referrals. we agreed to work through her process and the upshot was that I'm being referred for counselling but just to prepare me for psycotherapy. apparently i am fixable but not with drug therapy.

unfortunatelt, the fixing didn't come quickly enough. had to be a few very pressurised hours on wednesday and on thursday one of my staff told me that i had made him feel so bad that he was thinking of resigning. so, having apologised, i sat in a meeting room and cried and then left the office. while i can be a !!!!! and can be moody, i'm not generally someone who totally demoralises their staff and i dont want to be. if the firm can't or won't do something to reduce the presure, i will have no choice but to leave as I don't want to be the person I turn into when I'm there. on the plus side, since i last posted, i did my voucher overpayments, etc. to teh mortgage and have updated my sig. didnt get weighed this week as the wii was inaccessible but will be back to it next week. OH is wt his parents' this weekend and DD is out for the afternoon so I'll spend what's left of it on laundry and dishwasher duty. today i am grateful for

  • and now time to come clean. Friday had to work in Dublin where I bought one handbag and another en route to Belfast. have since ordered stuff on line that are, in the main, wants not needs. only comfort is cashback. also munched my way through half a large bag of minstrels and forgot to take my meds until two o'clock today. i need to sort out my life but i do truly love one of the handbags!
