Downloaded whatsApp and discovered alot of charges relating to text messages, why?

    Telephoned customer service yesterday to query thew charges. they were baffled, said they would refund the charges as a good will.

    I thought you said it was likely you made them when recommending whatsapp to friends?

    Did you ask what numbers the international texts were made to?

    Well, as the purpose of these forums is to share info to help with 'Money Saving' then if 'we' can prevent the same problem happening again, then that must be a bonus!

    Yes I think it would matter.

    If the international texts were made to numbers that you would recognise as being the numbers of those people you recommended through whatsapp then you would have known that you did indeed make those texts and it would be something that you, or anyone else reading this thread, would be more careful of.

    If the texts actually were made then T-Mobile had no reason to refund the charges and the fact that they did is indeed goodwill on their part so it would be helpful to know.

    don't understand what you getting at here, had some charges, quizzed mobile company, got a refund, case close

    the charges were related to the numbers I am aware of, yes.

    as for "known" that's a gray area, as a guess from a fellow moneysaver it appears another option is chargeable on whatsapp.

    therefore unknown.

    T-Mobile have refunded, case closed as mentioned previousely. yawn yawn yawn
