    Morning all,
Just a quick note to say that I wasted £3.99 yesterday on buying 200g pack of chocolate brazil nuts and they tasted odd

Can you take them back if you have the receipt. I brought two big bags of crisps the other day from Morri$ons and they are going back tomorrow (forgot today). Its not that they cost a lot - £2 but they are awful and the money is better in my pocket than theirs.

Spent £12.18 today taking total up to £25.35 brought bananas, tomatoes, some sausage, bacon and rolls as grandchildren wanted bacon & sausage baps. Hope not to spend anymore now until Thursday but you never know. Will need blinkers on to take the crisps back and not buy anything else.

£26.16 spent today - £15.16 in Lidls on 9 toilet rolls, 6pts milk, bread, cheese, 6 eggs, ham, carrots, brocolli, bananas, 160 teabags and some shortbread biscuits for the children.
I'm managing pretty well out of the freezer and cupboards at the moment but will need some jars of cooking sauces (korma for instance) from Home Bargains soon, so I will tie in getting a stock of toiletries then as well. I'm hopeful that we will need little meat this month as I stocked up in December and also have four large chunks of leftover turkey breast, which was divided up and frozen after Christmas (each chunk should do a curry and some sandwiches).
£11 spent in Pets at Home on dog food, two bags of Wainwrights will last our little dawg a good month. He had to go to the vets today as he was bleeding when weeing, I have to ring and pay for his visit and antibiotics on Monday, dreading finding out how much that will be!

So £26.16 + £9.55, total spend for January is £35.71 so far.

Spend of £5.62 for Salad stuff, some cat food & bin bags for me today. Was planning on a NSD, but OH suddenly felt like having Salad tonight.... Possibly brought on by my "oh, are you putting on weight?" Comment. :silenced:
  • Big shop done in Mr M £118 but should last most of month with just extra bread milk and fruit needed. Going to do some batch cooking tomorrow and fill the freezer with home made ready meals and soup for lunches all week at work
  • A £4 spend today, only needed milk from the local shop (and got a newspaper too). This challenge is great for making me focus and not spend on rubbish stuff I don't actually need!

Well last night I spent £5.33 in Asd# this was for fish, chips & lacto free milk. Least hubby didn't get his way with take away. Then today I hit Mr T (couldn't get a parking space at Ald1 and it was lashing down as usual. Anyway we followed my list to the letter and after using numerous vouchers the bill came to £49.90. We've started only taking enough cash to cover the shopping and it certainly helped. Am a little worried about how much it is costing for my shop but I suppose I am feeding 4 adults. Will just have to keep trying.
