    Weekly shop done - £99.29. Got friends staying for a couple of days so got extra wine - turkey crown, full English fry up stuff - I hope they enjoy themselves!;)

    Also picked up some YS mangos - going to make mango chutney with them - I use quite a lot in cooking and it seems to have got so expensive lately. :cool: I'll let you know how I get on.

    Just spent £39.56 on 3lbs stewing beef, 6 chicken breasts, 3lbs chipolatas, 2lbs best mince and 2 small steak/ale pies at the local butchers and bought 2 veg boxes from local farmer friend for £12.
    There's more than enough to feed us all tomorrow and me and hubby for the next week or so.
    Now to get everything listed in cupboards/freezer and fridge and then do a meal plan which I have tried to do many times before and never lasted more than 3 weeks! :)

    I'm having a NSD today, just pottering about at home is really nice, been out nearly every day for the last two weeks, and it's really nice just putting one's feet up for a couple of hours and reading a book and watching some TV.

    Spent £56.40 food shopping this morning the first time I have ever been under £80.00 for a week's worth of food. There is 6 of us and I try and cook as many dinners from scratch. I have done a meal plan, which is a first I'm going to sit down later and sort out a monthly plan so I can be a bit more organise in the mornings to get dinners prepared or in the slow cooker etc. Hope you all have a lovely evening x

    Hi All,

    How do I upload a picture? I went to our (fairly) local market today and bought;

    5 large bananas
    5 very large baking potatoes
    4kg of potatoes
    a bag of salad potatoes
    a cauliflower
    a piece of broccoli
    2 onions

    for £7.55 and wondered how cheap people thought this was, I was going to upload a photo so you could actually see what I'd bought. Also went into the pound shop and bought some breakfast biscuits and baby pouches. The only trouble with the pound shop is I always end up picking up more than intended still I did need the batteries and tin foil trays not too sure I needed to buy another baby bib though!
  • Declaring £14.58 for this weeks shopping. Was more than the £10 or less I had hoped but I did buy some cleaning products and a couple of things for next weeks menu that were on offer.

  • It's a NSD today for me, I placed an order with App Food yesterday for £64.35 but that will last us for ages as long as I hide treats from my son, lol! My OH is really good at making meals from leftovers so I leave him to do most of the cooking :-)

    I'll update my signature in a min but I must say joining the challenge is certainly helping me to focus on what we are spending.
