  • :( no YS stuff left - I obviously left it too late. But I did get cereal/breakfast biscuits for the kids at half price so am not too disappointed. Updated signature. Now on £39.36 so far. Have a frugal day everyone. :)
  • Forgot to mention - got all the way there and had forgotten to take my coupons. Left them on the noticeboard. could have kicked myself. Have now remembered to actually keep them in my purse. Doh!

Weekly shop done - £99.29. Got friends staying for a couple of days so got extra wine - turkey crown, full English fry up stuff - I hope they enjoy themselves!;)
I am so angry, the friends have decided not to come and stay but buy a new wardrobe!

I bought all sorts of thing we didn't need - luckily we've managed to squeek some of it into the freezer, but I'll have to have a serious replan of the week's meals to fit things in before they go off.

Well, if they propose a visit again they can jolly well take pot luck with whatever we're having! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

  • Small spend of £ 4.31 in Mr T - 2 YS items!!! and syrup for baking. Sig updated.
Not sure how we'll manage for the rest of the month as will soon run out of main meals - need to try and find more YS stuff! Plan to make a HM cheese and onion quiche this week and cost it out. I used to buy Mn S and they are now £2.39 so shouldn't cost that much!!!

Will be looking through the recipes later for inspiration.
Have a frugal day everyone. xx

Just popping on to update my signature with £13.60 spent on a cheeky couple of kebabs last night. They were alright but I kept thinking about how much shopping I could get with the money I spent on them so it's kind of put me off. This is a good thing!

    Good Morning..
Im up in a right panic, I usuallly work shifts (nurse) but have to move to a clinic for a few months so for the first time ever ill be on 9/5 everyday. Ive never done this and am used to doing 13 hr shifts with days off in the week. So im having to make some meals ahead of the coming week.
I normally batch cook anyway, but for some reason the whole enormity of the change in work pattern has made me feel dead wobbly and out of sync..
Ill make Chilli and Bolognese and 2 quiches and some soup..
The christmas decs are in boxes and need to go into the attic, i need to iron and hoover and mop through.. Feeling a tad overwhelmed. Ill make a list and a cup of tea and get cracking!
Think we are off to Ikea this afternoon so that will be nice.

Not spent anything yet out if the grocery budget, did have spends on oh's 50 th birthday meal but that was not to be included in this months budget, I can't see anything that I am needing to buy this week other than yogurt, bananas, oranges and bread, so although have £140 for the month will limit this week to putting £20 in my purse on Monday morning and leave my switch card at home, so will have to stick to budget!
    Every days a School day!
